Excellent find! Thought I wouldn't find much so close to the airport but happily I found Sawadee…read more The service was great and the food delicious. I had the green curry chicken and ate all of it. The portion is plenty, the food tasted fresh. They brought out shrimp chips to snack while you wait for your meal. The curry was in this nice little decorative pot with a lid, which kept it hot for me while I slowly ate and sipped my Cabernet. A+. I will be back if I'm in the area again.

Went here for a work lunch and between 15 of us we got the mixed assortment starter (serving each…read moreof satay chicken, chicken in banana leaf, dim sum and pork roll). None of the entree food was particularly memorable, in fact the chicken in banana leaf was particularly tough, but everything else was well cooked and accompanied by trio of sauces - soy, chilli and peanut. For our mains, we got chili squid (very good), sweet and sour chicken (bleh), green curry chicken (decent), chicken noodles, (decent), and a beef dish that I didn't try. So while I would go back again, I would suggest the Thai flavours are fairly mainstream and what you would expect at any Thai. In my opinion, Blue Elephant still reigns as the best Thai in Belgium with more exciting dishes and bolder flavours. Oh one more thing I really didn't like. The servers put rice on our plate the first round but then took the rice bowl away. So at a certain stage, quite a few of us wanted rice and we had to wait until could flag down the server. I am not sure why they didn't leave the rice bowl behind because there was space on the table. Other than that, if u are looking for decent Thai at fairly good prices, Swadee is a good bet.

Tables are small and the lighting indirect which creates a warm, cosy atmosphere very suitable for a romantic diner or a peaceful conversation with an old friend. Service is good thanks to a caring, very polite and smiling personnel. They speak fluently in French, English or Thai. The menu offers a limited choice but you can kindly ask to personalise a bit your dish (extra ingredient or sauce) and they will do so. The "classic" dishes taste good (e.g. the "yam" salads, the pad Thai variants), the Thai pork (spare ribs) was just ok, the Thai chicken was simple but authentic. The prices à la carte are moderate but since the portions are a bit small, you could be tempted to order several courses like they were tapas. Doing this eventually adds to the bill. Thai Café is located in the fine area of Stockel and is the only Thai in the neighbourhood, so it's better to make a reservation if you want a table for four or more on Friday evening or in the weekend.

It's not the best Thai food in brussels but fur the neighbourhood it's certainly a good option. Service is great too and they are very friendly. I went there for lunch and took nems (spring rolls) as a starter (I was a bit disappointed as they were not fresh) and noodles (pad yu me) as a main dish (really good!). For 12 euros it was a really nice lunch and I will certainly go there again.
