Service was a bit rough around the edges to start. Perhaps because it is a local joint and everyone already knows each other.
However, the food more than made up for it, plus more! The bf and I had the steak and crispy pork belly to share. Steak was good but the tomato and mushroom that accompanied it...OMG, to die for!!! The pork? Heavenly. Can you imagine melt in your mouth pork? Probably not because pork is very often served dry. But in all seriousness, best pork I have ever had in my life. THEN...there was the banoffee pie. Best banoffe pie of my life. After 2 best EVERS, i think this place deserves a 5 out of 5.
Service later warmed up. The woman, presumably the owner, gave us some pretty good tips for traveling around town.
All in all, great dinner and perhaps even worth an hour drive from London. read more
