Excellent staff, including front desk staff tolerant of my bad French and willing to let me try it out but perfectly conversant in English. We can't recommend the restaurant, which was pricey and not particularly interesting and a bit slow, but there's a cafe-bistro style place on the main level which had limited fare but at quite decent prices. Excellent breakfast in a side room on the main floor, included. All in all, well-recommended.

It had it all only more homey. It was our first time in a Queen bed in years so that took some adapting. We chose the front upstairs room and would probably suggest a room in the rear. NBers like their big trucks and bikes and have no problem speeding noisily through the Main street late at night. Nice deck outside beside the house for drinks. The breakfast is from the Sagouine restaurant on the same property. Good choices for breakfast. We at supper there. Wanted a typical Acadian meal and opted for a Fricot au poulet. Turns out with the exception of dumplings that is Lorraine's regular homemade chicken soup. I like her more. Staying in Bouctouche, stay at the Gite of the Sagouine but opt for a room in the back.

Someone arrives twice a day and keeps the fire going in the shed to heat the inn (there are pipes underground that go under the parking lot and into the inn). Apparently it is really cost-efficient. The tub was deep and comfy. The bed was comfy. WIFI, parking and a continental breakfast (cereal and bread) were included in the cost of the room. My room had a microwave and a mini fridge. I would stay here again if I needed to spend a night again in Bouctouche.

Then the breakfast was unpleasant and the coffee not very good. Bring your own. Also we had really hoped to go for a swim in the morning before visiting Hopewell rocks and the pool was green with algae. Apparently he turns it off at night and he did not have it cleaned by morning which would require the addition of chemicals at this point due to the algae. So no pool. Very disappointing. Do NOT recommend. Also the price was high!

Beautiful spot and perfectly situated to Hopewell rocks park. My first stop in the east cost - and while I was tired from getting there at 3:00 am, I had an amazing sleep, liked the room a lot (even on the next morning) and the owner was really nice. Breakfast included but was kind of crappy - but still appreciated. Coffee was good and it was a quick pick me up to start my journey through the east coast. I would return again and would definitely recommend staying here. Decent price, REALLY awesome staff/owner, good rooms, beautiful views and great location. Perfect. We found some clean utensils and decided to stick it out. I started to eat the not very good breakfast and found a hair cooked into my egg, as I was getting up to go tell the waitress, I noticed an even bigger hair in my toddlers pancake. Told the waitress we weren't going to be eating this and weren't paying for it. She took the food away, and when she came back she assured us that the hair in the egg must have happened at the manufacturer ??? Apparently the chicken slipped it in. We pointed out the filth of the table and flatware then left. And won't be back. Their sign says "Best Breakfast in Town", this is not true.

I woke up with a beetle crawling in my bed, and found three other bugs in the room earlier that day. I'm guessing the bugs get inside due to the automatic door on the main floor, and then they crawl into the guests rooms. The rooms are ordinary and average but very clean. Breakfast in the morning ( which is included) is slim pickings. If you're there for more than a night or two you'll become bored with the little variety they offer. The beds were not the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The water pressure in the shower was low. I was lucky and got a room facing away from the highway so it was nice and quiet. There isn't much within walking distance for restaurants if you don't have a car; delivery options are limited. The hotel has pool, waterslide and hot tub. However the pool towels are kept at the front desk which to me is awkward. I went to the desk for a towel only to find a sign saying the agent has stepped away, but if you need service to call a certain extension, which did nothing. No one came. Eventually there were 5 of us waiting in the lobby for service. And really who wants to walk through the hotel lobby on their bathing suit to get a towel? It was weird. By the time the agent came back to the desk it was getting close to time for the pool to close. Overall a good stay. Nothing to write home about but not terrible either.
