I love the variety of yoga classes offered at the studio- from rest restorative classes to more active workout yoga classes. I love that they offer different services right at the studio to support you throughout your pregnancy too, such as pelvic floor physiotherapy and prenatal massages. The studio itself is beautiful and they have a friendly community. All the instructors thoughtfully plan out their classes and I am impressed every time. I would recommend this studio to anyone looking for a calm and welcoming yoga space that offers a wide variety of classes to try out.

Yesterday, I met up with a dear friend in Bowmanville to check out the patio scene. We hadn't seen…read moreeach other for over meet six months. When our respective regions hit phase 2 of reopening businesses, we felt that it was safe to meet and celebrate our birthdays at a restaurant patio. It was a success. We chose to not open up our presents on the patio, in case this action made customers uneasy. Okay, what alternatives did we have? We stood outside Winners and searched for a park. We found Green Park that was within driving range. I can get by figuring out where things are in this town, but I haven't been to Bowmanville for nearly three years! My inclination was correct with where this park was. My friend followed me as I led us over to Green Park. Green Park has a parking lot. And, no, it's not Green P... haha! It's free. It also has disability parking that was clearly marked. There were a grand total of five cars, including ours. There were a couple of benches by the tennis courts where people can sit and relax. There were a few folks playing tennis. The two people who were on the bench decided to leave. We weren't feeling going over to the bench. My friend surprised me by saying that she had foldable chairs in her car's trunk. Wow! We grabbed them and our gifts, and headed over to a grassy area to sit down and chat. It worked well. We were on the soccer field, but on a corner. Being in a pandemic, we didn't anticipate a soccer match happening that would run us over. Folks were obeying social distancing. The exception was a mutt who came over to say hi to us. My friend was worried that this dog viewed her gift to me as a fire hydrant for him to relieve himself, but it all worked out. His human asked him to join him and he did. It was a nice evening. The humidity was nonexistent and it was partly sunny. We chatted, laughed, and opened our presents. The grass on the soccer field had lots of dandelions and wasn't really green like its park name implies. However, it was green in other areas. It was all good to us. We liked this park. It suited our needs and it was nice to catch up. We have plans to do a picnic here soon. It was a cool find and is a nice park in Bowmanville. (199)

I knew that after my research, but once I got my pup, boy did I realise I was way over my head. It hardly took my pup 8-9 months to become 80 lbs., then I knew I have this pup the size of a big dog and if I do not teach him to behave now, in 2 years time, I will not be able to manage him. For the last couple of months I have been through trainers, have had some choke him, tried the Clicker training, ECollar Technique. Times I felt sorry for him, and was that close to giving him up, accidently a friend mentioned Havelberg Dog Academy. I researched and decided to give it a try, and it was the best decision I made for my Dog. I have just brought him home, we are still under training, but I see the difference. Thank you Havelberg!!! Don't give up on your dogs, its just good training they need. Give Havelberg a try....

It's been at least fifteen years since I've played this wonderful golf course and about three years…read moresince I've played any golf at all. I recently picked it up again and this was only my fourth round for the year. It was going to be a challenge, especially since it was unusually cold and windy on this mid-August day. It's also a pretty tough course that demands you to know how far you hit each club. It was going to be a challenging day! Skipping to the end of our round, it wasn't as bad as I had anticipated. Yes, there were some errant shots but I scored better than I expected, even though I missed several chances at birdie. It took four hours to get around the course, not bad at all. The course was in great shape! Many of the trees were much bigger than the last time I was here, making some of the fairways feel narrow. Kudos to the greens keepers for the well manicured greens that were rolling at just the right speed. After the round, we had lunch at the clubhouse - a Classic Chicken Caesar Wrap, Montreal Smoke Stack sandwich, a Clubhouse sandwich, and Onion Rings. The food was all good, with good flavours and very generous portions. Our server was quite pleasant and courteous. This was a very good meal! Although this course isn't exactly close to home, it's a great midway point for playing a round with a good friend who lives in Port Hope. Same time next week?

I was given a gift certificate for a 45 minute Indian Head Massage. I never have had one before. I…read morecan't begin to explain how I felt during and after the massage. Colleen was wonderful. The experience was one I will never forget. I realize it was a only a massage, however I felt a spiritual healing during that time. I know that might sound odd or unconventional, but I felt an emotional part of me was healing. Before I left, they gave me salt stones to take with me. Hopefully I can make this a regular addition to my self care. Thank you Colleen and Shantee Healing, it was a wonderful experience.
