We applied for therapy, got assessments done shortly thereafter, and started therapy within a one month timeframe from starting the process. Scheduling has been fairly easy as well as cancelling and rescheduling when needed. My son has thrived since starting PT once a week with Wendy. She's an excellent therapist and his coordination, strength, and confidence have all dramatically improved. She's also provided us with good tools to practice things at home. Summit has multiple locations throughout the Denver Metro area. This is convenient since there's one typically not too far away regardless of where you live. The front desk here has always been nice, though they often don't have anyone here when we come. That's one negative if you need to ask a question as it forces you go call them instead. The other negative is billing. They aren't very competent when it comes to dealing with insurance and billing correctly. They temporarily cancelled our therapies when we switched to Cobra while my husband was between jobs. They literally didn't understand what Cobra was and how it works so I was forced to do all the leg work to resume therapies even though we had no gap in insurance coverage; I had to call our insurance myself to get them to tell Summit we still had coverage and there were NO changes to our policy. This made me extremely angry since we were paying for Cobra so that we didn't have to stop therapies or cancel medical appointments we had scheduled. But they forced us to stop and wouldn't even let us pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement from insurance after that fact (who doesn't let you pay out of pocket?!) because they believed we didn't have insurance. They also incorrectly billed us during this transition period and promised to correct the mistakes but never did. I had to actually dispute extra charges with my credit card company since they didn't do what they promised despite multiple calls. When our new insurance kicked in, despite giving them everything twice, they failed to change the policy and again billed incorrectly. So I'm pretty fed up with this part of my experience here. They need to hire competent, experienced billing specialists. Therapists get an A. Office gets a C. And billing gets an F.

We are pleased with the therapy itself but the front desk here sucks. There's almost never anyone here and frankly they've been downright rude to me when I've had questions in the past. One of the girls even hung up on my husband when I asked her if she would be willing to talk to him so he could explain some insurance/scheduling issues with her. He was very respectful but she simply didn't want to listen or deal with the issue. Zero class! We aren't demanding or unreasonable people at all so that type of rudeness is completely unacceptable. I wish they would invest more in finding good office staff that can be present there during regular office hours and can deal with issues appropriately and respectfully.

The phone tree is useless. No one answers anything. I tried for long enough for my referral to expire and if you have worked with the VA community care center you know that contacting them to get help takes several weeks as well. Trying to get seen for an injury that is affecting my employment has been an awful experience. Try literally anywhere else if you want to actually be seen. At this point I will have better luck waiting 6 months to be seen once at the VA hospital.

I asked a close friend who has benefited from hearing aids for two decades, and he enthusiastically recommended Dr. Katie Breithart. Boy was he right! Dr. Breithart is clearly quite skilled and she certainly made me feel both comfortable and confident I was getting the right solution for my needs. After a thorough hearing evaluation, she then took the time to talk to my wife and I about our observations, my lifestyle and how that might affect the kind of devices chosen, and answered a slew of questions. Then and only then did she recommend a specific solution. I was able to try on demo models to confirm fit and functionality, and walked out with a great solution that day. In two weeks, just as promised, my custom hearing aides came in and I exchanged the demo models for my own pair. Dr Breithart carefully programmed them to my hearing tests, and then made minor adjustments based on my in office experience. Net result, after three months I have my hearing back and I often forget I am even wearing my hearing aids. I know my needs will continue to change, but I have Dr. Breithart on my side, and that gives me great confidence.
