I want to thank Stephanie for getting my daughter in for a same day emergency appointment!!! My daughter had a loose tooth for awhile and it started to bleed every time she bite down and got us very worried. Brought my daughter in, cleaning and extraction done. This is her first extraction and was a little nervous that we couldn't be in there with her. Parents have to wait in the waiting room when services are done. We moved from Center City out to the suburbs but wanted to keep taking our child here, because we liked the Dr. George and Dr. Monica. Unfortunately, despite allowing an *extra* 30 minutes for traveling than it should have taken, there was an accident on our route. They told us due to their "grace period" (which is not mentioned on their website or in any paperwork given to patients), they wouldn't take us. We had been patients of his practice for three years. We have been kept waiting past our appointment time before, but never complained, because hey! I want my kid to have that same level of attention if needed. But after taking a PTO day, traveling from the suburbs, paying for parking (and of course, the PPA kiosk takes about 5 minutes to process a payment), and being 12 minutes late, they wouldn't take us. I asked them to cancel all of my future appointments and requested a referral for a dentist more local to me. They promised they would ask one of the doctors and call me back later in the day. Never did get that call ... read more

The review is not about the dentist. I did not have the opportunity to meet with the dentist. I called to make a new patient appointment . The receptionist was rude and yelling on the phone. Of course I called her out on her unprofessional behavior and disconnected the call. No one should tolerate unprofessional behavior. read more

So after quite a few visits, I do declare that I'm in love with this practice and if I ever have to leave I will be heartbroken. This practice is the best in town and can I say the best waiting room for kids ever? A movie always playing on one side, two playstation stations on the other, along with plenty of wooden HAPE toys for the taking by a play table. Lively colors, themed waiting rooms and little gifts that can be redeemed by a gold coin after a visit well done. Most importantly a television above the treatment chair. Genius. Holy cow, where was this place when I was a kid? Staff is affable and Dr. George is a child whisperer. My daughter keeps wanting to come back and remembers him by name (over her pediatrician!) COVID precautions are top notch. Health screening, empty waiting room, temperature check, hand sanitizer, and taken right into the exam room/chair. Everyone is masked or double masked and very helpful and polite. Today I took my daughter for her first dental appointment ever. The waiting room was so kid friendly and my daughter loved it. She kept bouncing from one waiting area to the other as she couldn't decide if she wanted to watch "Super Monsters" or play with the wooden toys and sit on the plastic tooth shaped chair. They called us back and we found ourselves in a room with dinosaur wallpaper. It looked like we stepped into Jurassic park. She loved it! They let her climb into the chair where she found Curious George waiting for her viewing pleasure. Once the Dr and assistant came in, they asked what she wanted to watch and put Peppa Pig on. Dr Monika was amazing. She took a few minutes to ask me about my daughters daily habits and what she eats and drinks. Gave me some very wonderful and helpful suggestions to get my daughter to brush at night. She then showed my daughter her "toys" (her dental instruments) and let her touch them and play with them for a few minutes. She was so gentle and sweet and really wonderful with my daughter. I wish Dr. Monika was my dentist! I am so pleased with our experience here and I would recommend this place to anyone with little children! read more

I feel the need to write this review today, after my daughter's first appointment at CK. My daughter just turned 2 and while she's got a great temperament, I wasn't sure what to expect during her first ever dentist appointment this morning. The hygienist Alexa and Dr. Katie were amazing with her! So much so that my daughter randomly exclaimed "Dr. Katie! Alexa!" multiple times over the course of the day. She loved them! If I could give them zero stars, I would. They are just heartless and malicious. They refused to see my 3 year old son for an emergency matter bc of a billing dispute that took place almost 8 years ago caused by them. They overbilled our oldest daughter for a routine service when she young. We disputed the bill with them as well as our dental insurance. The insurer sided with us and we considered the matter closed. Needless to say, we stopped taking our kids there and had been going to a wonderful dentist elsewhere in town. Unfortunately our usual dentist was unavailable to see our son for his emergency matter. So we contacted Cobblestone to have him seen. He developed a cavity to the point where even drinking water was causing him pain After explaining that we needed to be seen on an emergency basis, they confirmed they had availability. However once they ran out last name, they told us they would refuse to see our son for what happened 8 years ago. They let a young child suffer so they could hold onto their petty grievance that they themselves caused by overbilling us. This has been our experience with them. Awful awful awful. I posted this review on Google and their response was that they were sorry my current dentist did not have any availability. I am sorry too. However I want to stress to everyone that Cobblestone Kids DID have availability, yet refused to see a child suffering in pain. I only called Cobblestone bc they were my last choice. In my opinion and from my experience, they should be everyone's last choice. read more

Would not recommend this office at all. My child was a new patient today and was waiting over 30mins for my scheduled appointment. I was very upset because I was also very late for work due to the long wait time. While also waiting I over hear the front desk women gossiping about other patients and speaking with a rude tone when answering their phones. Not to mention, while sitting in the waiting room i also over heard the manager speaking poorly to one of their employees. Just a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience, but the hygienist and doctors were absolutely great which made my experience slightly better. But unfortunately the manager and women up front were very rude and unprofessional. I will sadly say I will be taking my child else where and will not be returning to Cobblestone. read more

I wanted to write all of you and tell you about our great experience Friday at the dentist! My son loved meeting Doctor George at Cobblestone Kids Pediatric Dentists and having his teeth examined. The office is beautiful! And DR. George is a rock star! My family is filled with dentists- my uncle and 3 of my cousins are pediatric dentists, and my other cousin is an orthodontist all in the mid-west and west coast which is why we needed to find someone in Philly. (Growing up I got floss for Chanukah every year!) I polled all of them for tips of when to take My 1 year old son for his visit, questions to ask, and things to look for... And he volunteered even more than I expected! We were so impressed! I am so glad that we are starting my son off on the right track loving the dentist and brushing his teeth! I was a nervous Nelly going through the painful Trials and Tribulations of finding new docs and dentists when we moved to Philadelphia. When I found Dr. George and Cobblestone...the angels began singing...and I saw tooth fairies were flying all around sprinkling happy fairy dust. My kiddo LOVES the Dr. G~get this....she looks FORWARD to going to the Dentist. I know. His demeanor with the littles is spot-on, and makes the parents feel good about it all too. I agree with another Yelper, I too wish they took adult patients, I am SO not above watching Happy Feet while in a dentist chair. hee hee. And the prize at the end? Come on, who WOULDN'T love a bouncy ball for no cavities! As much as I love Dr. George and his office and staff, I have to say the front office gals are a little chilly. Dr. George's office is state of the art. He has a medical grade/safe tv just above your kid's head, so as they lay back, they're watching a great movie. Our little one was not crazy about going to the dentist. We took Annie, her favorite movie along, and she didn't want to leave. Dr. George, Diane & Danielle are the sweetest. Had been taking daughter there for 2 years. They turned her away for a recent EMERGENCY appointment that would cost $60 because incompetent office staff couldn't figure out what number to call on insurance card to confirm whether our new insurance was in or out of network. Then blamed us that the number they called didn't work, until I directed them to the correct number on the card that literally says "Eligibility and Benefits," which magically worked. Even though they had weeks to figure this out, they tried to resolve it when we showed up for appt. By the time it was resolved, they then said it was too late and that they couldn't see my daughter anymore. Had a chat with Dr. George afterwards, who assured me that they NEVER turn away kids. I took my daughter to Dr. Lynch twice because she was complaining of teeth pain. And twice he sent us home saying it's nothing, just 6 year molars--no x-ray, nothing. She ended up with an abscess tooth! Then when we switched dentists, we found out that she needed over $7,000 of dental work that Dr. Lynch never bothered to do!!! I am considering suing for malpractice! Not to mentioned, he told us to to come over so he could take a look at her teeth when we called him, then turned around and charged us $300 for after-hous visit!!! Stay away!!!!!!!! read more

Finding this dental practice has been a huge relief for me. I have 6 year old twins, one of whom is quite nervous, and we have tried two different local pediatric dentists without good results. This place was an ENTIRELY different experience. From the moment the kids walked in to the clean, cheery office, they were comfortable and happy. I was completely shocked that we got through full check-ups, x-rays (!), and cleanings without any tears. Seriously amazing. Not to mention the awesome prizes for the kids. I can assure you my kids will be looking forward to going back, and we hope everyone else gives Dr. George a try too! read more

An exceptional practice. Really--a personal touch in everything they do--and most importantly how they interact with the children. Detail oriented and KIND. Dr. George Lynch takes time to make the kiddos feel comfortable and knows how to talk to a three year old vs. a seven year old. I was so impressed! He also gives loads of information about the X-ray and the procedure. Take his time. The staff -- at the front office, Desire, is just top notch--professional, focused, quick to help. (I will NOT mention the other main practice in Center City, which has been around for 25 years, and is an unsanitary factory, a mill that processes children. I WILL not mention them.) read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!!! He seems great, and I was happy until my daughter had to have a cavity filled. If your child has a cavity he will insist that you are not allowed in the room when he treats the child. He will also insist that the child get laughing gas. So he is insisting that he gets to drug your child, then have unfettered access to him/her out of your sight. He tried to do this when my daughter was 4!!! And if you object, he will try to manipulate or railroad you into agreeing. Your gut will tell you it's wrong. And it is wrong. KEEP AWAY!!! read more

I've been bringing my son to Dr. George for almost 3 years now and he absolutely loves this office. The office is always clean and tidy and they actually keep on track with the appointment times (no idling around here). I normally make morning appointments so parking is never really an issue, there are normally available meters on the street. I did take off one star because since Dr. Monica has joined the practice, the staff has been scheduling my son's appointments with her even after I told them that we wanted him to see Dr. George. My son get aggitated very quickly so I didn't want to switch his dentist (if it ain't broken, don't fix it). Luckily, he was ok with the change to Dr. Monica and we will continue to come to this practice. read more

Dr. George was extremely patient, yet very efficient. Our 2 year old LOVED his time at the dentist!! From the waiting area to the awesome patient rooms, everything is catered towards the youngsters. The TV above the chair kept our son focused on Lightning McQueen and didn't mind being having his exam. It's the Disney World of pediatric dentistry. They don't mind going which is wonderful. There are screens and shiny objects everywhere. The dentists are friendly, but they spend a total of 3-5 minutes in the room. It's VERY expensive, and they're extremely inflexible. I suppose those two are related, because to me, if you're going to be the Ritz of dentists, I'd expect Ritz-like customer service. I just called more than a month in advance of an appointment for my kids' cleaning to reschedule, and they can only move the cleaning to non-school hours if we push it off 5 months (and they acted like even that is doing me a favor). That seems unreasonable to me. It might be time we move on. read more

As a dental hygienist myself, I know the importance of dental fear and anxiety development at a young age due to poor dental access and experiences-- And we loved this place and my son really enjoyed himself too. Everything from the call confirmation, to the greeting, the hygienist Jessica, and the dentist Dr Monika, the design of the office--It's a very well run office. I felt my son got a very thorough examination while he laughed and watched Finding Dory on the overhead TV--I was able to chat with the hygienist & the dentist for my son's specific concerns and she explained everything very well, and was understanding of our circumstances regarding his special high calorie diet. My son had a great experience and didn't want to leave! Thank you Cobblestone for giving children great experiences and building strong relationships with your patients and their parents. All well and good until... your child needs a filling or some other procedure that the office has decided parents are not allowed to view. To make rules that keep out a bit of hand-holding for a nervous 5 year old is really strange and wrong - especially since parents are welcome to watch cleanings so our son expected we would be present at all appointments. They recommended laughing gas to relax him, but why is that necessary if what would help is his parent's presence? I was not going to force him have the filling without me there, so we left. I understand having a parent might be distracting to the dentist, but that's just one of the challenges of pediatric dentistry they should be trained to handle. read more

Dr. George (and his staff) at Cobblestone Kids is as good as they come. Our 4-year old has been seeing him since about 18 months of age, and despite being frequently fearful of new people and experiences, Dr. George has always brought a calm and positive energy to our visits, so that she's never nervous and looks forward to her visits. He also helped us to feel comfortable and confident giving up the pacifier too - we never felt judged or disrespected, and he even threw her a little "pacie party" when it was time to give them up. Beth G's not-so-thinly-veiled accusation is nothing short of ridiculous, offensive and painfully apparent as the emotional reaction of a parent who couldn't bully someone into giving her a "yes." read more

Sadly not what it used to be. I was 5 minutes late for my son's appointment today. I got there and was told there were no parking spots left. This was at 2 o'clock, I was not predicting a lot of people at that time, and after going there for 3 years, this was the first time there was no parking available. While I am explaining it might take me a bit to find parking, Kate (receptionist) tells me there is a 10 minute grace period, and that I had 4 minutes left. The website says there is complementary parking, and says nothing about the 10 minute grace period. So, I found parking 5 blocks away, paid for it, and when I was two blocks away from them she calls me to say my son would not have the appointment. Now, I have waited there for 15 minutes and sometimes more, many many many many times. The most upsetting part wasn't when I called Kate back to give her my feedback, or her getting defensive, or even when she put me on hold "to help" a client. It was when she told me it would not be fair to my son if he could not complete his cleaning. He got his cleaning 1 month ago and I explained when I made the appointment he had a cracked molar. So, needless to say, I won't be coming back. read more

When I called to make the appointment, I specifically asked for Dr. George because he had been recommended to me by several friends. Instead, they scheduled my kid with Dr. Monika without telling me. I'm not sure if Dr. George isn't accepting new patients or what but no one bothered to tell me. We were completely surprised when Dr. Monika walked in. She was okay but not great and not the person we were there to see. Dr. George may be really great with kids but the admin staff won't let us see him for reasons unknown to me.
