Funny thing, when my husband took a similar pair of work boots to the Shop over a year ago, the husband(owner) took a look at the boots and stitched them up on the spot in 15 minutes, and my husband was out the door at a fraction of the cost. This lady, I'm assuming the wife, looked at me and said "50 bucks " because she wanted me to walk out the door. I suppose it depends on who you get at the front counter. I walked out the door... They were able to alter it perfectly, and now it fits like it was made for me. The craftsmanship was excellent, and you can tell they really pay attention to detail. The women's shoes were another story, one pair started falling apart after I wore them twice, and the other came unglued before I even had the chance to wear them. I paid, and he gave me a claim ticket and circled "Tuesday", the next week, in which they would be ready. I returned the following week, on the day after they were scheduled to be ready, on Wednesday. When I gave him my claim ticket, he spent a significant amount of time rummaging around in shoes to try to find mine. I told him what they looked like. After almost 5 minutes, he found them, at the bottom of a pile behind the front desk. He looked at me and said "30 minutes". I said "what?", and then he said "you wait, thirty minutes." I said "I am sorry, but I have to get back to work." He looked at me, and it was obvious that the shoes were not done, and had probably been in the pile since I dropped them off for repair the prior week. I told him I'd be back either tomorrow or the next day. He did not apologize, he did not offer any explanation for them not being done. I returned the next day, and he gave them to me without any comments. Again, no apology for the delay, or apology for me having to make two trips downtown to retrieve them. No "here's a discount for next time, for your trouble." Very poor customer service, and I will not be a returning customer.

I go back to ask the owner of the shop what can be done. he said he would fix the rug, returning it to its original size. The owner and I went back and forth over it, and I essentially asked for a partial refund which he combated me for, even after agreeing with me that he overcharged me for washable rugs that were less than $60 a piece on Amazon to begin with. Well, I pick it up 2 weeks later only to find that the shrinkage issue was never fixed. I never received receipts from the business, was never asked if I would like a copy of mine, and this business' phones are not operating for customer/clientele's convenience. There is certainly a language barrier with the owner, however, it seems worthless to go in and attempt to get this fixed a second time. there are better cleaners around the corner, don't waste your time here.
