They were worn very little and I didn't want to throw them out. Found this gem in town and was so grateful that there was a local craftsman still available to fix my shoe! These people just don't exist much since we live in a disposable society, Normally you'd throw them out and buy a new pair, but like I said these were good, expensive leather booties. Why I was there I also had him cut two leather belts down. Fantastic and inexpensive Not to mention quick turnaround! Highly recommend!

Casmera should not be called a shoe repair shop. They should be called 'leather repair.' Over the…read morelast four months I have had three separate leather items repaired, cleaned and re-stiched/seamed. I had a leather jacket and two purses repaired. Bar none, the repairs were the best I have ever had done anywhere! The quality was outstanding! Their attention to detail is not something I see anymore. On all three repairs they found extra items that needed TLC and did them without extra charges. The staff is always friendly too. I would rate them 4 & 1/2 stars on their workmanship if I could. I would give Casmera 5 stars if they were not so in demand and took longer than expected for all the jobs. That is a great problem to have. Also, striving toward better communication with their customers about the repairs would definitely give them five stars. Don't go anywhere else. Go to Casmera. They were out of the way for me, but so worth it!

I called a number of local shoe repair places and Clarke's was the first one to answer that had weekend hours so I opted to give them a try. Initially, I dropped off the shoe and was told I would get a call with an estimate. I dropped them off on a Saturday and had heard nothing by the following Sunday so I reached out via Facebook messenger and left my number. I was called back by Farrell, the owner, and given a quote, a time estimate and an option to pay via PayPal (they don't do credit cards). Once that was all squared away, Clarke's went to work on my shoe. When it was finished Farrell called me to let me know I could pick it up and explained a little about what he did to the shoe. While Bel Air is a bit of a drive for me, the customer service and quality of the work that Clarke's provided means I will be returning in the future.

Funny thing, when my husband took a similar pair of work boots to the Shop over a year ago, the husband(owner) took a look at the boots and stitched them up on the spot in 15 minutes, and my husband was out the door at a fraction of the cost. This lady, I'm assuming the wife, looked at me and said "50 bucks " because she wanted me to walk out the door. I suppose it depends on who you get at the front counter. I walked out the door... I needed a good pair of boots to work around our place. Not only did they have a wide selection for me to try, even stocking widths, they happily ordered me what I needed. Then I went to the "other side" of the store, Solely Comfort, and got two comfortable and attractive ladies shoes, also in widths, that I love too, and ordered more! The employees both times were knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Their prices are in line with the good shoe quality, and service is the best I've had in any shoe store ever. This was a much better experience than I could have even hoped to have. I will be back and tell friends too.

SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM…read more Quite literally the worst experience I've dealt with in a very long time. I was charged $140 for my soles to be replaced. When received the rubber was already fraying. After wearing for about 3-4 hours they already had major signs of damage. I went back and gave them my boots. They told me they would be ready the following week on Tuesday. It is now Friday and they haven't touched them because I need to some reason talk to the owner which the shop refused to give me their number. They've held my boots for two weeks now and refused to give me my boots back so I could take them somewhere else to be fixed properly. For those of you who are sitting there debating on replacing your soles on your boots instead of buying a new pair. Please. Save yourself the trouble and just buy a new pair.
