I had a very similar experience to the other reviewer - I really needed my shoes returned on the agreed date. When I went back to the shop at the arranged time, it was closed and he was nowhere to be seen. When I complained the next day, the cobbler was very rude and aggressive towards me.That wasn't the first time I'd used the shop and previously he'd been late, with the shop closed for days. I will NEVER step foot in this place again! I spoke to a guy there a few months back about re soling sheepskin boots and how I have type 3 diabete's and would need them back quick. I asked him at the time if there were any specific days to go in and he replied No I am always here, whenever is fine I went there today after paying by Taxi because I have bad health and it is quite far out of my way. On arrival I was told they couldn't be done for days and days! So when I told the guy there he rang the main guy and put me on the phone to him, when I got was a blatantly rude voice, condescending me telling me I should have called again! WHY WOULD I WHEN I WAS TOLD TO COME IN ANYTIME??? He then very rudely said in a condescending way Its not rocket science love! I had 8 pairs of sheepskin boots needed re soling, 4 pairs of shoes needing heightning and 15 pairs of heels needing new tips. I have taken my business elsewhere to a much more friendly place with slightly cheaper prices! I have also told everyone I know never to step foot in this shop, and the people I know work in jobs where they are on their feet all day so go through a lot of shoes like me! AVOID. When someone is this rude especially after me paying out £12 for taxi's it is just not worth it! read more
