I should have read the reviews before coming here. I had the heels replaced on a pair of boots. I only needed one heel fixed, but he told me to fix both or it would look odd, so it ended up being $20. It was done a day early, so I just picked them up. I noticed that the heel wasnt competely painted, or whatever it is that they do so I mentioned it to the lady working, and she said it was fine and laughed at me and said, "I can't believe you're worried about something like that." I just said ok, thank you, and left. I understand that the heel will get scuffed up with wear, but I'm paying for a service and I feel like the work was done half heartedly. I usually go to the shoe repair in the mall, but I wanted to try this place out. Well, I learned my lesson. Definitely go to the repair store in the mall, they do much better work.

    DESTROYED MY CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS!!!

DESTROYED MY CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS!!! A perfect example of how not to run a business. Took my $700 designer shoes in to be covered in a clear sole to try and protect the designer red sole longer while still enjoying the signature red sole. Without letting me even finish what I was asking for, decides to write in permanent marker on said soles bc he assumed I wanted to put an ugly red rubber protector on them... And then can't get the permanent marker off, and doesn't care at all to compensate me in anyway for destroying signature part of said shoes. I will be bringing him to small claims court

I gave my boots in to get a tiny but streached at the calf, and when i came in the boots were stretched at the ankle and stretched a ton at the calf to the point that the leather ripped on the inside. I literally cried when I saw what they did to them. The owner refused to pay for a new pair of boots as these were beyond repair (even though these were $350 boots and were on sale for $100 and that is all I asked for). They were brand new boots only worn 4-5times!

Fast friendly service! Fixed both issues for two separate boots in less than 15 minutes and very reasonably priced!

I called two places & after explaining my situation, the first guy said the usual stuff; "I'm slammed," "This is short notice," "I close at 5pm," finally, "if I can get to you today, it'll be at least $12." I hung up the phone quite appalled at the first guys attitude & thought I'll call the Shrewsbury Cobbler Shop, the 2nd online option from my search. No answer. Ugh!! At any rate, the online info stated he closed at 3pm & I thought "if I leave now, I can make it by there to see if they can help." Man, am I ever glad I did. I walked into the shop at 2:50pm & was immediately greeted by a polite & pleasant young man. I explained to him my dilemma, showed him my belt & his response was "let me see what I can do." He returned 3-4 minutes later & had the belt buckle reattached & the leather belt resewed around it. PERFECT!! The incredible things was when I asked how much do I owe you, he said "Oh, nothing!! It wasn't only a little thread." I was floored & so appreciate. For the locals that may know this shop, I didn't get the young man's name, but I did find out he was Joe's grandson. While he was working, I read the newspaper articles about the shop on the wall. Hopefully, this shop stays busy. In my opinion, they are the epitome of great entrepreneurs...great service, they know their craft & they are kind & take care of their customers by putting them first. You can find them at 444 Broad Street, Shrewsbury, NJ, 07702.

I am currently IN THEIR PARKING LOT for the THIRD TIME since the promised date and they're closed before closing time. AGAIN! So frustrating. Mailbox is still full. And the woman at the desk needs to take some customer service lessons. Apparently kindness and joy are absent from her existence. I'll stick with my guys in Avon from now on.
