A pair of tall boots bought for my girlfriend as a Christmas present were a little too tall for her diminutive frame and so I was looking to get around half an inch taken off the top. The shoemaker in question was quick to point out it was not an easy job, as they are machined leather throughout, but he would give it his best shot. However the resulting job was perfect, exactly as requested and very well finished and stitched. The price was only £15 and they were back within two days. I think the exclamation mark in their name is warranted after all.

It is a quaint…read morebuilding and the window is laid out with old fashioned looking shoe equipment which sets the atmosphere. It may not be possible to get in the door if you had a wheel chair. Once in there is a counter ahead and the staff are really friendly and welcoming - you feel like one of their friends. They are brilliant when you need repairs done to your boots and shoes and will try to get your items ready for you as quickly as possible if you are in a hurry, alternatively you can call back for them. They sell laces and shoe creams etc and do repairs to other items such as belts. Shame there isn't one of these on every high street so we didn't have to constantly buy new.
