Very happy with work done & price, not that I have this done regularly but £15 seemed reasonable to me. The store is located up an alley way so could be difficult to find if not local. They do all the things that modern day cobblers do & more.

A pair of tall boots bought for my girlfriend as a Christmas present were a little too tall for her diminutive frame and so I was looking to get around half an inch taken off the top. The shoemaker in question was quick to point out it was not an easy job, as they are machined leather throughout, but he would give it his best shot. However the resulting job was perfect, exactly as requested and very well finished and stitched. The price was only £15 and they were back within two days. I think the exclamation mark in their name is warranted after all.

Dennis & Parry is on a side road just off the high street so easily accessible. It is a quaint…read morebuilding and the window is laid out with old fashioned looking shoe equipment which sets the atmosphere. It may not be possible to get in the door if you had a wheel chair. Once in there is a counter ahead and the staff are really friendly and welcoming - you feel like one of their friends. They are brilliant when you need repairs done to your boots and shoes and will try to get your items ready for you as quickly as possible if you are in a hurry, alternatively you can call back for them. They sell laces and shoe creams etc and do repairs to other items such as belts. Shame there isn't one of these on every high street so we didn't have to constantly buy new.

For instance 200g of sea salt for your empty grinder 24p, instead of £3 for a completely new one from a super market. Everything you need for kitchen replacement food item. They also have vast vats of washing liquid and shower soaps. Just take your empty containers and refill. I will certainly be returning to restock those items regularly. The park is run by a charitable trust of local people, who are also attempting to renovate Ford Park House, which is a grade II listed building. There is a Recording and rehearsal studio in the Coach House which is frequently booked by local young aspiring musicians. A community center has been developed here where there are rooms to hire. Ford park is great, whether you just want some fresh air, to join in volunteer work, or have a fun day out, at an event.
