If I could give no stars I would. This place is a hack job. I was referred here by my dentist for an abscess that had spread from a bad root canal up into my gums and near my sinuses. I was flying within a week so my options for doctors was limited. For context my mother worked as a dental assistant for a long time so I've always had really great dental care. And I had four impacted wisdom teeth taken out with pretty much no bruising or swelling. So I know what a "good" dental experience looks like. My procedure involved going into the gum line of my front teeth to remove some bone from my jaw and to clean the damaged tooth. Very involved. Turns out this place doesn't have an anesthesiologist on hand. No anesthesia, not even happy gas to keep me calm. And when I found that out I began to panic a little. When I had the original root canal done the dental assistant at the dental office i went to held my hand and talked me through the process and the dentist listened to my reference of discomfort and pain. When I had my oral surgery the doctor explained everything to me and then gave me the option to be asleep if that wa easier. Dr. Weinstock gave me a stress ball when I told him I was panicking. I started to panic pretty quickly because the novacain shots were very painful. He shot the first one straight into the abscess so it didn't take right away. Eventually everything went mostly numb. Half way through the procedure I started to feel the pain of the procedure in my sinuses like it was traveling through a nerve and began to squirm and crying out to let him know. I told him I can feel the pain. His response was that wasn't true and if I didn't sit still he wouldn't be able to finish the procedure. (Mind you my gums are open at this point.) I could feel the pain because the cleaning process went into my sinuses where the novacain did not. I couldn't believe it and tried to explain but I couldn't communicate well with my mouth held open. So I had to continue the procedure with Dr. weinstock periodically asking me very frustratedly to stop moving and flinching. Dr. Weinstock had to take a photo partway through the procedure and basically said, "your gums are open, don't look" and then just walked away leaving me sitting there with the camera to my face. He was extremely rough and just very forceful. I had four impacted wisdom teeth surgically taken out of my mouth. And this procedure bruised and swelled worse than that. His roughness is completely unnecessary. I was wearing a cotton dress and a sweater. By the time the procedure was finished I had sweat so badly through my clothes that the dental chair was wet. I was shaking so badly that I couldn't stand up right away. No one helped me gather my things, as I'm trying to get my purse, while holding a guaze to my face Dr. Weinstock is giving my directions I can barely comprehend given how my body is coming down from the adrenaline. I started to feel really sick, nauseous, and told the Dr. whose response was (verbatim) "if you vomit your stitches will come out. So don't do that". He then asked me to come back in two weeks to have my stitches taken out (why he didn't use dissolvable stitches is beyond me). I had to correct him (even though I had told him this on the phone and during my consultation) and tell him the entire reason I came here was because I was flying in 4 days. He said that he forgot and that I would have to come back in 3 days to have them out. Two weeks to three days, yeah. Sounds legit. He then REFUSED to give me a script for pain until I told him I wasn't leaving his office without one. He wrote me one for Tylenol 3 which I ended up being allergic to and then he wouldn't prescribe me an alternate over the phone. I walk out to the waiting room for my ride and the receptionist was pretty much useless. About a minute later the dental assistant ran out into the waiting room to ask if I had taken their stressball. (I hadn't actually let got of it yet so it was in my hand) Yes he gave a follow up call which is when I told him I was allergic to the pain meds. And that was nice I guess. I went back three days later to have my stitches taken out and asked for novacain (remember I had had surgery 3 days prior) and he said I didn't need it and proceeded to pull the stitches out. I have no idea what these other reviews are. Maybe he paid for them, maybe they're employees, but they're all total BS. I have not been back to Dr. weinstock and would urge you that unless it's life or death: find another doctor. read more

I had increasing pain in one of my molars that already had a crown on it. Since I moved and changed dental insurance, I had no dentist. First, I found a great one who took an xray and confirmed I needed a root canal. Second, my dentist referred me to Dr. Weinstock. When I went in for the procedure, I was informed how it would go and told it might take 2 sessions. Ouch, I didn't see that coming! But everything about the procedure went super smooth. You can tell he's really a specialist who knows what he's doing. Novocain shots were barely felt but perfectly placed to stop the pain. I hardly felt a thing the whole time. The entire procedure took maybe 75 minutes and there was no need for a second visit. The pain later on was dull and happily not nearly anywhere near what I was experiencing when I walked in. 24 hours later I don't even need Advil. I don't fear anything cold anymore and I can chew on both sides again (okay, I still have to get the crown re-sealed so I'm going light on that side for the time being as instructed). And oh, I did get a followup call from Dr. Weinstock to see how I was doing. Happily so much better. I hope to never need another root canal but if I do I'm going to this guy. read more

I had the worst tooth pain ever and needed a root canal. I was referred to Dr. Weinstock by my general dentist. I am very pleased with his work and his chairside manner. He is also a very nice person. He called me at 8:30 pm to check on me since I had a very bad infection in my tooth. I've never had a dentist actually call me to see if i'm ok. He scores points just for that. Dr. Weinstock only does root canals and related stuff. He is that good. This is my second time going to him for a root canal and recommend him highly. I would not go to anyone else for a root canal as long as he is still practicing. read more

I went to Cobb Corner Endodontics after a long process with another dentist "business" that caused me a lot of problems. I was so impressed with the service here from reading the website to talking with the endodontist on the phone explaining my symptoms and discomfort. All I have to say is it seems to be very hard to find people who care about what they do today and Dr. Weinstock, the endodontist, certainly proves that he cares. As I said before, I waited a while before I got the actual root canal done because the other dentist office did not say I needed that right away and continued to put me on hold meanwhile I had an infection brewing in my mouth. I searched online for quality dentists/ endodontists and came across this place. Everything from the gentleness of the novacaine insertion, to the explanation of what he was doing as he was working on the root canal I was so impressed with. I recently traveled a long way to have my first root canal ever at Cobb Corner Endodontics. What immediately struck me about Dr. Weinstock and his team was that they are above all really nice people, who cared about me, my dental problem, and how it all turned out. That meant a lot to me. What also impressed me was how focused and gentle they were in performing the dental procedures. I now know that root canals done right involve a surprising number of steps. It was fascinating to me to see Dr. Weinstock and his assistant Lisa perform those procedures with remarkable, clockwork precision. That gave me a lot of confidence that everything was going to be all right. Quicker than I had anticipated, the procedures were complete and I was on my way. Everything did turn out all right. This may sound a little hard to believe, but seriously I have not really had any pain since the surgery. Maybe I was just lucky in that regard, but I cannot help but think that the care that Dr. Weinstock and his team took with me made such a successful outcome possible. I suspect that we all naturally tend to dread needing to have dental surgery, but I am not going to dread it any more. I felt like I was in the very best hands possible. I will not hesitate to give my very highest recommendation of Cobb Corner Endodontics to my family and friends. I was referred to Dr Weinstock by my dentist for an emergency root canal. I was having the WORST pain leading up to this procedure. I was so nervous since this was my first time needing a root canal. I wasn't sure what to expect but my dentist assured me it was similar to a regular filling. When I arrived I was immediately brought in and Dr Weinstock introduced himself. He numbed me up and very quickly after started to work which seemed to be so quick, how could I possibly be numb already? Well I was. I unfortunately had to do two procedures and both only took 30 minutes. I had no residual pain or soreness. The staff were friendly, but not overly talkative. My dentists office is very talkative and explains the process in detail which Dr Weinstock did not. However, when I asked him questions he was very thorough in answering. He just seemed like a quiet, serious, fast paced doctor. I had no issues at all and would highly recommend him to everyone in the future! read more

Dr Weinstock was recommended to me because of several unpleasant or unsuccessful previous root canals from other dentists/specialists. I have already had a few procedures done by him with successful results. No one wants to have root canals or dental surgery, but if it needs to be done this man is a specialist and I believe he takes the time and makes every effort so that your procedure is a successful one. The staff is great, professional yet thoughtful and caring. Lisa and Lesly both try to make your experience comfortable. I can't recommend Dr. Weinstock's practice here enough. For months I had been experiencing a multitude of pain and sicknesses that, as I learned last week, stemmed from my need for a root canal. As I live in Connecticut I was only in the area for a very short period, but Dr. Weinstock agreed to see me on incredibly short notice and while already having a full schedule. He and his assistant were both very friendly and helpful. After the procedure I immediately felt better than I had in months. I just got home from seeing Dr. Weinstocks and am very happy. I have never enjoyed going to see any type of dentist, I don't even like getting my teeth cleaned which I do every 6 month. I just got a root canal and surgery with the plan of getting it all done in one day because like I said I do not like the dentist. This visit was a pleasure, I did not feel any discomfort during either procedure. I will hurt later tonight from the surgery but that is expected. I would suggest to anyone who needs to see an Endodontics doctor to make an appointment to see Dr. Weinstock. He is a very good doctor and a true professional. read more

I'd just driven 350 miles to come home for the Thanksgiving weekend, all the while in great pain from a rebellious rear molar that was unbearable for the previous couple days. After an emergency consult with my regular dentist, she gave me the numbers of a couple of root canal specialists in the area. None could even see me until the middle of the following week. Late in the afternoon on that Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I then called Dr. Weinstock's office with a "Hail Mary pass." Without flinching, the office told me to come right down, Dr. Weinstock ran some tests, wrote me some prescriptions for the pain and infection to carry me through the holiday weekend, and scheduled the root canal for Monday, which was completed without any pain beyond the first little sting of the novocaine. It was not fun, but it was not painful. He even took the time to call me later that night from his home to check on things. So far so good. read more

I had a root canal done by Dr. Weinstock in 2016. One year later my tooth pain came back, became inflamed and infected. Dr. Weinstock said that I will have to pay for the second procedure to fix the first procedure which clearly wasn't done right. I have to find another doctor who can do it right. read more

I cannot say enough about Dr. Eric Weinstock. I was having pretty severe pain in my tooth. He took the time to figure out where the problem was and then came in on his day off to take care of the problem because he knew how uncomfortable I was. He explained everything as he was doing it. Despite being a nurse I am quite phobic about dentists and he totally took care of that fear. He is clearly an expert in his field and if you have to have a root canal this is where you should get it done. I felt very confident when I was there and he gave clear instructions about what to expect. Another important point is he was totally reachable if I needed help.
