The plumber fixed the pipe but a mitigation contractor was contacted, by the plumber to deal with the water on the floor. RestoPros was in my home when I returned from work. The lower was rude and impatient. He did not give me a scope of the project. He was also rude to my claim Adjuster. His wife put together the invoices, which were not itemized. It took a long time for their payment, as RestoPros appear to be in the business to submit extremely high invoices, so they can 'negotiate'. I never got in writings the scope of the project. I can to get information from my claim Adjuster. I was threatened by the owner l, and I had to request he never come in my home again. Currently, I am assessing my property that was returned to my home and thre is some damage. I don't know if RestoPros is bonded to cover any cost to some damage furniture.​​ Oh, the threat to place a lien on your home is a tactic the owner has used on several clients. RestoPros has only been in business for less than 2 yrs ( The one that came to my home).

What disturbed me most was that, after their visit, I realized money and a few small personal items belonging to my kids were missing. I cannot say with certainty what happened, but the timing raised serious concerns for me. When I brought all of these issues to the company's attention, they offered no accountability or meaningful help. Just be careful. The exhaust system itself seams to be installed and working just fine. The initial…read moresump pump that was installed ended up "failing" a few months after installation though and flooding out our finished basement ($5k in damages). We assumed it was just a bad pump which I would never blame on the installer. They were great with agreeing to come out and install a new one. We even paid them install a backup system shortly after so this would never happen again. A few months later we got a notification that the primary sump pump wasn't working AGAIN. Luckily we had the backup pump installed and we didn't have another flood. We decided to bring in a licensed plumber. He looked things over and told us that the sump wasn't installed as it should have been so we had an airlock in the main pump. Looking back at the second "failure" it was likely the same thing happened with the first pump that caused the flood. We have been in communication with them and asked for a reasonable refund on the installation of the second pump (we asked for nothing related all the damage caused by the first failure). They maintained that they did nothing wrong. We are still waiting on the refund. I know they install a ton of these systems, and it sounds like this isn't common (according to them). Maybe we just got unlucky with having two sump pumps fail in the matter of a couple months. And that the licensed pumper was incorrect with his assessment of how it should have been installed. Maybe. But I just wanted to mention to be careful with the sump pump installation if you decide to go with them.

They are well known by department of health services due to the number of complaints they get. Due to their negligence during what was supposed to be lead-safe renovation, we had to throw away thousands upon thousands of dollars of our personal property, pay for temporary housing, and miss over a weeks worth of work. They refused to finish the project or show up for state-mandated lead dust clean up unless we agreed to pay them in full, despite the significant financial (and emotional) losses they caused. It is so disappointing to see so little integrity or accountability. While they did eventually finish the job and complete the mandated clean-up, we feel far worse off than before this project began. Please do yourself the best favor and look elsewhere.

One important quality is that they weren't creating any false sense of urgency. Radon isn't great for health and absolutely should be addressed, but it also wasn't a threat to my health. The installer was professional and also patient with my questions. He fully explained exactly what the system was doing, what it was going to look like, and A couple weeks later, the electrician came through to permanently hook up the mitigation system. He was also professional and very personable, and made sure we had no questions. With the provided follow up test that we just plopped in a usps box, our radon levels dropped from over 9 to less than .9! One thing to keep in mind if you're getting a radon mitigation system installed: you'll have a big ol white tube going up the side of your house And out your roof. For a higher fee (I believe it was 400), you can have them route it out your garage to be inconspicuous. Last thing: we were worried about the fan being loud. I can't hear it at all.
