The solution to this issue was to bring a pitcher of hot water from another location and add it to the tub which our feet were soaking. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! I got there at 10:50 and wanted a gel manicure, I was told there was a wait and it would be about 11:15. I was okay with that so I waited. At about 11:20 I was sat at a station, at 11:40 I was told to move to a different station but someone would be right over. At 12:17 a woman sat down and I showed her the design I wanted (see below) she just said "I don't do designs." I told her I was fine waiting for someone who could do it, she took my phone and showed all the other workers the picture until someone said he could do it. At about 12:45 I finally sat down with the man who ended up butchering my nails. I had my phone open to the picture the entire time and he consistently looked back at the picture. My natural nails were more than long enough to get the shape I wanted but he chopped them down and instead of getting nice, elegant almond nails I ended up with short, stubby round nails. I probably should have checked the thickness of the french tip but he kept looking back at the reference picture so I figured he had it in hand. When he added the sparkles it looked like my 3 year old nephew just drew Xs on my nails so I asked him to just take it off. This was the point that I realized how awful my nails looked overall but I had already been there for 3 hours and I didn't want to sit there for another minute. I should have told him to just take the gel off and gotten my money back but I didn't want to cause a scene. If he was unable to do what I asked I would have done something else but he told the other worker he could do it. Such a waste of my day. read more

The first time I went, my pedicure was just so-so and my toes had to be redone. The polish was literally sliding off. Figured it was a bad batch of polish and went about my day. Second time I went the SAME THING happened. Mediocre pedicure. Basically the equivalent of a polish change with bad polish. Said I would never go back. It's been about 6 months or so and my girlfriends came to town. Wanted to all go get pedicures. They picked coastal so I figured I'd try again in hopes things got better. My toe was cut. In trimming one of my toes she literally LEFT a half cut piece of nail attached that was bleeding and I'm sure my 3 year old niece could have painted them better. We also made appointments for 10 am and it was pointless because we weren't seated until after 11. read more

My daughter & I went on Sunday after Christmas & they were the only salon in town who were open, so super busy! But they were kind & continuously checking on those waiting, offered times to come back later, offered drinks & chatted with us....excellent customer service now to the nails...my daughters are fantastic....they gave her the exact design she wanted, asked questions so they understood...my nails are great but in hindsight I don't love the design I chose....would have been better on a square tip but still looks fantastic...we both asked for our nails to be thinned out and the shape is perfection!! I saw the reviews for Coastal Nail and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. This is the best pedicure I have ever had. I got the herbal pedicure for a very reasonable price. It included everything you would typically receive plus a 10 minute massage with stones, hot towels, wax and many different scrubs. The staff is very professional and easy to communicate with. They have great attention to detail. I have 'baby' toenails; small, and when the provider could not see them as well as she would like she asked her co-worker for help. So many times, people will just slap on paint and not consider the area they are painting. I appreciated it so much. I also had recently lost a toenail hiking and did not want to put an acrylic in its place, so the provider painted on a toenail at my request and you cannot even tell I am missing my toenail. I was offered coffee and beverages too. I will definitely come back here whenever I am in town. read more

I was in the area for my wedding and called all over Corpus, Portland, Rockport, and Port Aransas to find someone that could do my gel-x nails before my wedding which was in 2 days. This salon assured me they did gel-x. I described it and was again assured they did. So myself and 2 of my bridesmaids rushed over from Corpus because they had a party of 7 coming in an hour. They started with my pedicure. I asked them if they wanted to start soaking off my gel-x nails. They assured me they did not need to start that we were good on time. My pedicure was almost done (along with half the skin on 2 of my toes) when one of the staff members casually tells me they do not do gel-x nails. I explained that I called, I described the service that I needed and was told twice that they provided that service. I was given the option of keeping my purple, 3-weeks past needing done nails or they could do a full set of acrylics. With the rehearsal activities planned for the next day I didn't have much of an option. The lady sitting next to the tech knew what gel-x nails were (thank GOD) and after a very scary encounter with his attempt to come at my nails with a razor blade, she convinced him that he did, in fact, need to soak off the nails. I showed him the picture of the nails I wanted, which were fairly long and he starts shaping my natural, medium to short length nails. I ask him if he is putting on a tip. He tells me that he doesn't need to but will if I want him to. I show him the picture again and he agrees to put tips on. All in all as a stressed out bride, I would not recommend. read more

My mom and I decided to try Coastal Nails Spa on a whim as it is a new place that opened near her in Rockport. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by smiling faces and great customer service. The prices are great and the service is thorough. The decorations are beachy and light shades of blue with lovely displays. Everything was super clean and sanitized too. They offer complimentary drinks from water, soda, Vietnamese coffee, and alcoholic drinks too!! We had the sangria and it was delicious. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because it was clean and the owner was so nice. Two employees, Karen and Terry, seemed to be very nice and their clients were super happy. I, however, got the 2 rudest employees in the place it appears. Tam did my dip manicure and was AWFUL. Not sure what pedicurist was named but she at least did an okay job. They were rough, rushed, and argumentative. I had to ask 3 times for my manicurist to clip my finger nails. It was obvious she had no idea what she was doing dip wise. They both cut me multiple times on almost every finger/toe with the drill. My pedicure turned out fine, my dip manicure was thick and lumpy, will be getting fixed once my vacation ends. Waste of money, wish I had gotten any of the other employees as they seemed to do a fantastic job and be much nicer. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a spa. I brought my daughter, daughter-in-law and my four -year-old for her first pedicure and manicure and they were so rough left my daughters legs bruised. They were also very rude and kept asking what I was there for.I would not recommend this place to my enemies. I couldn't wait to get back to Fort Worth and let the spas there correct the damage this place did. I guess I need to be more clear about my review this happened on July 31. My daughter and daughter-in-law I've encouraged them to leave reviews to because we went to this place based on the reviews that were there before and we thought this would be a nice experience and it turned out to be horrible however to say something nice about this place the man who did my daughters solar tips was wonderful she said but as far as the pedicures went and as far as the way they treated my four-year-old absolutely terrible thank God we don't live in Rockport because we would never go back!
