One of their drivers recklessly crossed over the middle line, nearly forcing me into a concrete wall at high speed. This wasn't just careless--it was life-threatening. What's worse, the driver never even pulled over to check the situation, never offered an apology. No remorse. No responsibility. If this is the kind of person they entrust with the safety of others, it raises serious questions about their standards and oversight. Shame on the company for failing to address such a serious incident. This is not "genuine care"--this is gross negligence. My patients have used this company from time to time for medical support. She is tired and hungry because she is waiting hours past her scheduled pick up time. We offer her food and a private room to lay down in which isn't a problem. My staff and I call and voice our concerns and they say the driver is on the way. The problem is when we explain we are closing and need to leave to pick up our children and their client would have to wait outside in 90 degrees temperatures unless we arrange child care, and they continue to lie and say the driver is on the way. Or we call and say the client was supposed to be picked up 2 hours ago, you said you would be here 2 hours ago, our entire staff is waiting to go to lunch, and they lie and say they are on their way. Today I called every 10 minutes to check on the driver who was again an hour late after dropping the patient off an hour late and I was told "I said the driver will be there in 5 minutes and was hung up on." Just because they are reimbursed through the medical insurance does not mean that they should provide poor service and take advantage of those in need of medical transportation. I will spend the rest of my afternoon reporting this company to every insurance carrier I know because no one should be a victim of this.

They came to door when they arrived and said they were waiting for help. Not sure what the delay was but he certainly was not brought in the house in a timely manner. Due to negligence on their part, he received bruised pressure wounds on his feet from apparatus on for so long confirmed by emergency room on November 3 and written in hospital diagnosis. This negligence caused tremendous emergency bill with numerous tests. Started calling them on November 3. Always arguing with me and going to get back. Not sympathetic at all about him not walking at all for days and being confined to a recliner. Never anyone available to talk to you. I am amazed that there is such a company with such non caring people. I will think twice before me or anyone I know uses such a non caring company transport them. One of the smallest units on the volunteer side of the Virginia Beach Fire and Rescue Squad, this…read moregroup is all volunteer, and are among the most dedicated folks I've seen in any Rescue Squad, paid or volunteer. The squad has a long and glorious history, having been started in the late 1940's as one of only two squads in the entire city. Their current squad house on Shore Drive a little west of the Lesner Bridge was built in the early 1950's, and has served the squad, and the entire northern part of Va Beach, since then. With fundraisers, and income from rental property located directly adjacent to the squad house, the Squad has been able to purchase and maintain some of the most advanced equipment of any of the Beach squads. Additionally, their water rescue capabilities have become quite refined over the years; they currently operate three Zodiac inflatables, and are able to tackle just about any water rescue operation short of the open ocean. Other Beach squads are certainly larger, and a few have lifesaving equipment on par with Ocean Park. But none have the same spirit and can-do attitude found in this all-volunteer Squad. Truly as good as it gets.
