Guillot Construction

Contacted Guillot for estimate on June 12, appointment with Jonathan June 18 for water proofing…read morepaver Balconies and one bad Gutter. Ask Jonathan to amend quote for repairing gutter, I rather have the gutter and fascia replaced than repaired and had gotten other contractors quotes on replacing gutter (remove gutter work). Waiting for amended estimate from June 19 to July 14. On June 19 Guillot was paid 35% down on the original estimate,, in which he received more money down. Johnathan infomercial/presentation is meant to assured customers that Guillot stands behind their workmanship/warranty. On the morning of July 9 @9am the workers were here without a supervisor/Johnathan to explain the scope of the job and to introduce the workers to the home owner. The office called to tell the homeowner the workers were outside their home, the whole time they were being watched on security cameras while the workers were taking pictures of our home. Guillot sent a family of five, one man to carry the sealer, two women with brooms, swifter wrapped in old use rugs and two teenage boys. They came with no ladder to reach the balcony from the outside and no drip cloths to protect my wooden floors when coming inside and out of home after rolling the sealer onto the porch's. Johnathan had suggested that I research the sealer AR-350, I did and the direction on applying. When I noticed that the crew wasn't using any water I asked the only male why he didn't wash and strip the old sealer he replied that Jonathan said to only sweep the porches. I had explained to Jonathan that my husband and I had sealed the pavers several years ago and needed to be stripped. The sealer needed to be applied in the evening and no expecting of rain. The crew applied the sealer in the morning. Took two hours. (Rained that evening). I then called the office to remind Johnathan that I was still waiting for the updated quote and expressed my concerns about the workers he sent to our home. He apologize for his workers not being prepared, he apologized for using child labors to apply a dangerous chemical. Johnathan said that the Parents were training the children and at one point in our conversation he suggested not wanting to finish the job. I received the amended quote on July 14. Johnathan said he would return on July 15 to apply the second coat and when he did come he came with the same crew but this time one man, one woman and a child. No ladder and dropped cloths. I believe Johnathan came with his workers to make sure there was no damage (see fine print estimate) and to get paid. At this point Guillot warrantee that he bosses about meant nothing when the manufacturing application wasn't followed. Day Workers and or Cleaning Crew wasn't acceptable or expected when I hired this company and for the price I was quoted. Children are a lawsuit in the making. I had closed all the doors and these people walked all through my house. Guillot will not be held accountable/financial for any damage done by his Day laborers. That includes theft, using bathrooms(plumbing). I asked Johnathan to send me his final bill and his services were no longer needed. In my opinion, when Jonathan came for the estimate he seen $$$$ and a widow. He then marked up the price for what he assumed was a small job and sent and Day laborers. He waited to submit the amended quote. And when I questioned him, he became very rude, disrespectful.
