A very cute coffee shop located in Beach Haven really close to the beach! The shop is small but feels quite spacious with the natural light and decor. The coffee options are pretty diverse and there are tons of syrup options. I ordered a Vietnamese vanilla iced latte and my boyfriend ordered a vanilla coconut milk iced coffee. It was a little on the sweeter side but both were so yummy. I like this place a lot, and am glad to have it two blocks from our house! Very convenient and a welcome addition to Beach Haven. There previously weren't any decent coffee options (apart from this location's predecessor, from which Coastal is definitely a step up.) I like the lattes and my husband the espresso. The man I assume to be the owner or manager makes the espresso shots properly and yields a smooth, delicious brew. However, he should better train his employees to do the same. At least this summer (2018), the employees always pull the shot too long, making the espresso harsh and bitter. The man (again, who I assume to be the owner or manager) makes excellent, balanced, flavorful espresso. Give this place a try! It's expensive, but what boutique coffee shop isn't these days? One complaint I should mention is their overuse of cleaning supplies. The last couple of times I went in there, the smell of cleaning solution was so strong that it actually flavored the coffee. They should dilute it much more or switch products or something. read more

I can't say I'm surprised to see that a certain coffee shop had gone out of business and a new one was open in its place. They kept certain elements, but made the space their own. They did a great job. It has a very fresh and clean vibe going on with a hint of vintage. The person who helped me was friendly and helpful. I think the coffee was nice, it hit the spot (iced mocha latte). I'm an ice snob and think all coffee shops should use ice machines. I know it's not cheap, but it is worth the money. The prices on the island are continuously on the rise and this coffee spot is no different. It is what it is. I'll be back to this spot for sure. An upgrade in my book. read more

This place was absolute garbage. The toasts were literally one slice of bread cut in half that were extremely hard and didn't have the correct ingredients. One was supposed to have arugula instead it was spinach with over cooked hard boiled eggs that looked and smelled rotten. The other was supposed to have Nutella and there was barely any there. I finally found great espresso on LBI, and in a shop that's got some great interior design. They have a high end espresso maker, grind their beans for every double shot, and it comes out tasting very fresh and smooth. There are a couple of outdoor tables plus several high tops inside, some chairs by the window, and a large communal table in the center. Highly recommended. Also worth noting they have very friendly staff, happy to serve you. Payment is via cash, CC, or tap (incl Apple Pay). Even when the line is to the door it moves quickly. read more

Stumbled upon this trendy little gem last summer while biking to get coffee elsewhere but well worth my every penny spent thereafter..which was the entire summer. Their coffee/espresso is fresh, strong and the flavor is something I have tried to find to cure the craving during winter months up north with no luck. Pricey yes but worth it? Yes yes yes. Whenever we have friends down with us in LBI we tell them about coastal and they would think to themselves really, how could could it be? Flash forward to the weeks following when our friends are back at work randomly texting saying they would die for another coastal coffee right now. The acai bowls are decent too though it seems the bowls haven't fully made their way to the island yet since only 2 place I know of have them but if you're hungover you need a bowl- it will give you LIFE. 3 strikes you're out! I went here three times in a week and never had my order done right. The first two times I had ice tea with fruit added for an extra $.50 and they didn't add the fruit. Today I was the only order in when I got there and I ordered a Greek yogurt bowl and an ice tea and they lingered for 15 minutes not making my order and I went and asked if they had forgotten it and then they made it. Then when they made it they used the sugary vanilla yogurt instead of the Greek yogurt I asked for. I was already gone and I knew if I went back I would have to wait even longer. Seriously one of the nicest coffee shops I've ever been to. Definitely up there with all the trendy ones in NYC. First of all, the space itself is beautifully thought out and decorated. I love the color scheme, the big stone top communal table, and the palm tree wallpaper. The overall vibe is just chill and relaxing, perfect for summer in LBI. They have quite an interesting drink menu as well as their popular and trendy acai bowls. I went four separate times throughout my week on the island, and everything I had was nothing short of excellent. My favorite though was the straight-and-true 24hr cold brew. Probably some of the best cold brew I've ever had to be honest. So smooth and refreshing but not overly bitter or strong. Sometimes cold brew can taste like you're drinking motor oil, but theirs was perfect on its own without any milk or sugar. They also have a nice selection of cold-brewed iced teas for those hot summer days (try the Savannah sunrise). The crew behind the counter is very friendly and down to earth, further adding to the relaxed vibe. Overall, definitely my new favorite coffee shop on the island and one of my favorites overall. Worst iced matcha latte ever. They call it vanilla maple jade latte- I ordered a large which is really a medium anywhere else and paid $ 6.00 for it. There was a $ 0.50 extra charge for iced. This place is great! Real gourmet coffee in a welcoming and beautifully appointed space is just what this island was missing. In speaking with the owners it's one of several stores in the NJ/NYC area and they know their stuff! They have delicious nitro and cold brew and every coffee drink you would come to expect. The fresh squeezed juices are amazing! The coffee is local and not over roasted, I would recommend to steam the milk at a lower temperature for the traditional espresso drinks for a smoother drinking experience.
