It's unfortunate when money is more important than patient care. I have used this office on quite a few occasions using my own insurance and they were more than happy to take the money. Now I found myself in a situation needing physical therapy for my knee from an injury while serving on the Fire Department. After weeks of going back and forth with Coast Physical Therapy and the insurance company for my workers comp injury, making appointments then they would cancel them, promising to call me to reschedule and never did. They ultimately refused to treat me and declined the worked comp payments. This is not how you treat an individual that gave 37 years of his life to public safety. I encourage all first responders to boycott this business if this is the way we are treated for our life of service. read more

I would, indeed, like to update my review of Coast Physical Therapy...and my wonderful Physical Therapist, Suzanne Perry! Coast is unique, as it offers patients one on one treatment sessions with a physical therapist! This is not the norm! Most clinics use aides to do much of the work at a physical therapist's direction! Not so at Coast, their PT's create and execute a treatment plan for each patient.i love this approach! In my case Suzanne Perry is my PT, and she has literally kept me physically together over the years! I am so grateful to her for not giving up on me, as I have one thing pop up after another! Just goes to show she is up to the challenge. I can definitely recommend Coast and their physical therapists if you need to seek out a clinic for your physical therapy needs! read more

Don't let this place and its so called stars fool you! Based on my experience, that rating must be made by employees and/or coworkers friends or family members. If I could choose zero stars I would. Here's a tip, don't give them your ATM or credit card information, because they will just charge at will without authorization or even a notification! I've just wrapped up several months of PT at Coast Physical Therapy after a total knee replacement. Could not be happier with their service. Whereas many PT clinics have one or two actual therapists and then have interns or inexperienced employees just watch you do your exercises, all my sessions with John O'Conner were one on one. He knows the right balance to help you make progress without undue discomfort, and while the office is small, without a lot of fancy equipment, I found the attention to my individual needs to be exceptional. Service was acceptable but Coast billed me $2,217.00 through a 3rd party billing service I did not owe 6 months after therapy was completed. When I complained to the Better Business Bureau about this bill, the owner's husband sent me an email suggesting I overreacted. I would suggest staying away from Coast, they clearly believe $2,000 billing errors are nothing to worry about and you'll hear from the owner's husband if you complain. read more

Last February I had devastating back and hip pain from a sciatic nerve inflammation that struck without warning! ...I could not stand without a walker let alone walk. I had been very active...walking three days a week including several flights of stairs! I couldn't believe how quickly I was almost completely unable to move without excruciating pain. I cannot believe the benefits of the sessions...I couldn't begin to list all of them in this short review. If you are in need of physical therapy, you should consider Coast Physical Therapy. As has happened many times in the past, my orthopedic surgeon provided me with a long list of physical therapists to choose from as once again I was in need. By chance and as luck would have it, I decided to try Coast Physical Therapy; I am so pleased that I did. This place is like no other, it is truly a hidden gem. I am 68 years old and have needed to seek physical therapy excessively in my life. I did not know that such intensive one-on-one therapy existed. I was pleasantly surprised to experience the most knowledgeable, in-depth, kind and encouraging treatment a patient could possibly receive. The person I worked with was Suzanne Perry; from our first session, it was obvious that Suzanne was a skilled professional. She had a complete understanding of my doctors' report and charted a path to recovery immediately. From the moment we began, she never left my side it was hands on all the way. As we continued with our sessions, her knowledge of the human body and how it all interconnects was far superior to anyone I have ever encountered. As mine was a tough case, she took it upon herself to do additional research and implemented several techniques, which definitely promoted healing. The only thing that surpassed her accomplished talent as a physical therapist was her sincere desire to improve and ultimately cure my problem. Suzanne had a way of taking me to my physical limits to maximize my recovery, without going beyond those limits so as not to re-injure me. It is a fair statement to say; above all, I was treated with compassion and kindness. The receptionist Danial always did whatever she could to help me with scheduling and would give me a call to remind me of my appointments. She was always helpful and never an attitude, even when I was 10 or 15 minutes late. Not once did anyone say a word other then encouragement even though I was somewhat chronically late (my bad) for my sessions. I did have the opportunity to meet Bob (the owner) he was a very nice person who preaches healing. It seemed to me, healing came first and business second. They have assembled a high-level group of professional that follow the doctrine set forth by the owners. I did what to address one last thing; Coast Physical Therapy did not take the review by Scott W. (who gave a one star rating because of a billing error) lightly. Bob mentioned the misunderstanding and billing error reported by Scott W.; he acknowledged the problem and did all he could to make it right. Coast Physical Therapy is just not the type of place that would try to cheat anyone. They are good people trying to help and heal others. read more

Mary Reischl is the best physical therapist I've ever gone to. I broke my arm and my leg last year, and her skills and recommendations have made all the difference in the world. She spends the whole hour with you--listens carefully to your symptoms and then applies her techniques. She prescribed a variety of exercises that worked extremely well. Recently, my knee hurt after doing squats, and again, Mary diagnosed my problem correctly--after 8 visits, I am pain free. She is a miracle worker! Several of my friends have been to her, and everyone has had excellent results. read more

I have been going to Coast Physical Therapy for several years. Recently, I had a hip repair ( not replace) and a knee in jury( on crutches for one month) from surfing that overlapped and therefore a more complex recovery plan was needed. Coast therapist Suzanne created a scaffolding prgram that encompasssed excellent manual therapy, effective exercise program and she also taught me so much about how posture and proper body postion plays a significant role in recovery and in preventing future injuries. FInding out how important posture is in all my daily activies is was really a bonus. now,knowing how to carry my body/posture i feel so much better. Coast also uses ultra sound and tens units to facilitate recovery. FYI, In choosing a therapist, my doctor might recommend a facility, but my insurance says i can go to anyone i choose. I can't say enough about the expertise of Coast Physical Therapy.I hope this helps others who might have an injury that need physical therapy. read more
