Mike from Coan's Landscaping was very unprofessional We had called and got him to stop by 2 weeks ago to price out a "fall cleanup". He let us know that he would be there the following week. There was no definite date or time, and we had called and messaged him to confirm one. He never showed up, and we proceeded to get in touch and he let us know that he'd be here "this week". Again, no confirmation on a date or time, which is not helpful. When we followed up the third time for a little more clarity, on a date / time this week, we also mentioned that if we cannot confirm a date, we would move forward with another landscaping company. Mike texted us back and said "I told you this weekend" which he did not, and told us he shouldn't be feeling "this much pressure" from people who are not even his regular customers. I'll tell you what, when you conduct business like that, you won't find many more regular customers. Terrible experience, he was able to confirm a date / time, maybe we would have been regular customers come the spring time. read more

I hate to badmouth Mike since he's a really nice guy but, his guys damage to my wife's car back in August. I have A few Ring® doorbell cameras around my property and one faces the driveway right above the garage. Mike's guys damage to my wife's car when they hit her bumper with a piece of machinery, it can clearly be seen on the video. Also on the video is my wife's reaction six minutes after they left when she went out to put something in her car and exclaimed "what the hell happened to my car?" On the same video I can be seen coming out with her and looking at it I then pointed up at the camera and said to my wife well if the landscapers did it it will be seen on this camera. After reviewing the camera I sent the video to mike showing his guy hitting the bumper with a piece of machinery and he said that his guy said he didn't have the car. I work construction for many years and if we damage somebody's property that's why we had insurance. There was no skin off our back. I don't know why so many of his clients are complaining about him damaging the property and not taking care of it. I'm sure he has business insurance. Maybe? We originally hired Mike to remove some sea grass behind our house and asked him to pull the roots so that it would not grow back, he gave us a price and we agreed to it. We did not negotiate the price after he gave us his price. He sent three guys here on a Saturday and they work for five hours and after about two of those hours instead of pulling the routes they just started snapping them off at ground level and loaded them into the truck. I called Mike to tell him that the guys were not removing the roots and he told me that he underbid the job and that he needed the guys to work somewhere else. I told him that without the roots being taken this he grass will grow back, he told me that since he's going to start cutting my lawn that they would take care of anything that grows back. In the middle of the summer I had to beg him to have the guys remove the seagrass that was growing back at a very rapid rate. I have photos and videos to prove it. After using his company for three months he failed to complete the first job as promised by leaving the roots. He cut a sprinkler line in one of my flowerbeds and I had to have the guys fix it twice before it stops flooding my neighbors yard. And then he gouged my wife's front bumper on her two-year-old $35,000 car. Needless to say we switch the landscapers and now I am waiting for him to pay me for what I laid out for my wife's bumper. It's a shame that he's not a professional businessman, he's a very personable guy but he has some growing up to do. And adult owns up to mistakes they make and make things right. read more

This company steals from the homeowner. He stole my shovel and returned an inferior one. It also took all the belongings I had in the garage with no legal process. This included but is not limited to Guns, order repair equipment, auto supplies like a 55 gallon drum of diesel oil Furniture, et cetera And refuse to return it Yeah expected me to pick it up at his yard. Six years later and this company has still not reimbursed me for my broken window , the owner dragged out this issue for months , then after explaining that I had his employee on my surveillance camera weedwacking the driveway next to my truck before the window was broken he finally offered to pay for the window. As stated six years later and he has completely ignored me and not shown one shred of being true to his word of fixing damages his employees were directly responsible for. If I could give no stars I would, they blow through your property in 10 minutes with no care to anything, over expensive, 650 dollars for a fall cleanup that was never complete, leaves and debris left all over the property, garden beds filled with leaves and for 650 on a property under an acre there better not be one leaf on it... Extremely poor conduct of business actually threatening the property owner over a dispute of over billing.. Find your landscaping needs elsewhere they are not worth the trouble. read more

His crew blasts thru your yard, sometimes leaving it in worse shape than before they arrived... No attention to detail and charged me TWICE the price of local nurseries for a couple trees he planted. read more
