You always see a staff member picking up around the campground or cleaning that pool. We come here year after year and have never been disappointed !!!! Will continue to do so.

(Waterton, Writing on Stone, Frankslide/Crowsnest, Head Smashed In, the US Border etc). Facilities include bright, very clean coin laundry & shower rooms. One of the nicest pools I've seen at a campground and a playground suitable for younger tikes. Very family friendly atmosphere. There are several golf courses within close proximity, and the Japanese Gardens, out door waterslides and shopping is less than 10 minutes away. I feel the added price for the site is justified for the level of upkeep on the main campsite. The cost and proximity to the highway may be a detractor for some, but if you are in a pinch to find a campsite...this location had ample accommodations. Loads of full-service pull through sites and the power only and power/water sites are largely vacant. Just note: this site is located next to a very busy highway, it was not an issue at night, but not terribly relaxing when sitting outside. We were out sightseeing most everyday, so wasn't an issue for us.

The new owners , Brett Stewart have purchased campgrounds in the southern Alberta area, and are the absolute arrogant and rude group of people we have dealt with in a very long time. The power for the campground in insufficient for the amount of sites that are there, so you can't even count on 110 power let alone be able to run your A/C. When we complained, Brett told us that he had a waiting list, and if we didn't like it, "there's the gate". Then we had to deal with our neighbor, that was in constant construction mode, building, and constantly expanding his site to suite himself. Constant sawing, drilling , pounding, loud music, rude comments, yelling at his wife. He constantly draws water out of the river to fill his water storage units ( which is illegal), the units provided by the owner, Brett. He then put security cameras up, one facing into out unit, which was the final straw, We are pulling out, because, no matter what issues were brought to the owners attention, nothing was done. I believe, this campground use to be a decent place to spend time camping, but since the new owners have taken over, it simply is not. The store is completely useless, as it is seldom open, and the ladies that run it are very rude and not very friendly. The rates have gone up every year we have been there. I can not recommend this place for any reason. Horrible.

I still long to explore Dinosaur, but with a hot, tired, crotchety kid we really needed some shade and a lake to swim and a moment to relax and Kinbrooke provided all of these in spades where I'm afraid our northern desert would have not. We snagged one of the last 4 spots via online booking and rolled in to a big, shady, breezy site just up from cottage road, next to a pit toilet that had fortunately just been cleaned. Lucked out on that one! COuld have been a very different experience! As it was we loved our site, we laid out blankets and watched the breeze in the trees and drank a beer and the kid rolled around, not too buggy to eat outside, just perfect. We took a nice walk to the lake along the cottage road which sort of felt like a mini kennebunkport with some super sweet old family cottages, kids on bikes, and of course because Alberta: huge trucks rolling around with skidoo's and giant inflatables. When in Rome I guess. Kinbrooke is Alberta's best beach according to some, and it is definitely super fun to swim in. I think I'd argue that some of the mountain glacier lakes are more spectacular, but definitely not as warm. There is a sailing club on a point jutting out past the provincial park beach, and after our swim and after dinner we went out for a stroll again and were treated to a completely thrilling sunset lightning storm.

Very sweet campground. Private showers at the main building, flush toilets, clean/ample camp…read morespaces and a pretty (if windy!) setting. For $23/night for tenting, the value is reasonable too. Free firewood, but bring a hatchet because it's roughly chopped in very big chunks. 4 stars for all your regular stuff, but it was a little weird not to be checked in/greeted by anyone when we arrived in the middle of the day - instead, there's a list posted showing where your spot is (if you've reserved) and some envelopes for paying. We went to say "hi" when the office opened (it's open for an hour or so in the morning and at night), but I think the fellow thought it was really strange of us to do so, and he wasn't really into friendly small talk. I can't help but feel that you can't really give a 5 star review without having had any positive interaction with actual people who own or are employed by the business. You don't review vending machines, in other words, and our experience, though good, kind of felt like we rented our campsite at a vending machine.
