Amazing stylists, friendly staff, and great prices! We just moved to Oregon and I was so nervous…read moreabout having to find a new place and new stylists for mine and my daughter's hair, but I'm so glad I saw the reviews for this salon because they did an AWESOME job for us and we're so happy! I worked with Alycia who was so sweet and really talked to me about what I wanted and how much effort I put into styling (none, lol) so she gave me a style I could replicate with ease and my hair looks SO good! My daughter likes a more complicated "wolf cut" and Mackenzie knocked it out of the park, and my daughter is not easy to impress (she got all of the stylish / fashion DNA I never had). We are already planning to go back so my daughter can get her vibrant color touched up in the next month or two since we only did haircuts today, but I'm so glad we found our new salon on the first try!

I have given this place THREE separate chances, and I genuinely regret wasting my time and money. I…read morekept coming back, hoping the previous experience was a fluke and giving them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, the results have been consistently disappointing. My hair was left choppy, boxy, extremely uneven, and significantly shorter than I explicitly explained I wanted. The cut lacks shape, flow, and any sense of precision. It is genuinely shocking how far the result was from what I asked for. A bad haircut can happen, but when you leave a client with an uneven, boxy mess that looks nothing like what they requested, it's more than disappointing. It's a failure to listen, communicate, and execute the basic fundamentals of the job. What makes this especially frustrating is that I returned THREE TIMES, giving this place every opportunity to get it right. At this point, I can confidently say that my patience and goodwill were wasted. Your hair is personal. You trust someone with your appearance, your money, and your confidence, and the absolute bare minimum is to listen to what the client wants and deliver a competent haircut. That did not happen here. Three chances were more than generous. I will not be returning, and I absolutely cannot recommend this place to anyone who cares about the quality of their haircut.

I am not sure how this business runs with basically no leeway to paying customers who have unique situations like this. First and last experience here.

I asked for a wolf cut but instead she just cut off my hair and called it a day. She didn't even style it or add in any gel, leaving my hair an ugly mess! I've never been so utterly disgusted with the way I look. I worked so hard to grow my hair out and I wanted it to grow even longer but now my hair is ruined. If you value your hair and your money, save yourself the pain and do not go here. The hairstylist is clearly determined to do whatever she wants with other's hair regardless of the customer's wishes. I only wanted a little cut off but she cut it shorter and shorter. I have no idea how I'm supposed to fix my hair after this. $35 dollars for a disastrous haircut is a scam.

Oh my goodness...can I just say Kiara Ochoa is the best! I moved from San Diego last year and was…read morebummed that I had to start over to look for a hair stylist. I went to one in Portland, and although it was a cute salon and "supposedly" a great stylist, they were just ok. I think sometimes the look of salon can be deceiving. Every time I go to someone, they end up making my hair look more orangish and they would tell me that I would need to come back several times to get the color I want. So I looked her up and her profile and thought, ok let's give her a shot. I am SO SO HAPPY I did. She is AMAZING! I have already told all my girlfriends and my nurse friends to go see her cause she is talented! She has the eye for what looks beautiful and I got exactly the style I asked for, probably even better. I highly highly recommended Kiara plus she is very sweet and just seems so down to earth. Beyond excited that I found a stylist. You won't be disappointed, if anything you just want to give her a hug cause she'll make you feel and look so pretty! Choice of style: balayage

I've had color done by her before and I hope to do so again in the future. It's always wonderful to see her smile and enjoy the work she does. Edit: I will never arrive here again. I was admitted to the hospital on the day of my appointment and was charged 70% of the appointment because I was considered no call no show. I have been charged $175.00 While I NOW, understand your "policy" is that after 30 minutes you can charge whatever fee you deem fair for missing an appointment, your also at fault. After looking at my phone records I see that my sister called for me the day I was admitted. Whether or not your staff informed you is on you. Not me. Even if I showed that to you, which I can, I now know you wouldn't reverse the charge which you made very clear on the phone after I had informed of my emergency hospitalization. You are at fault for the following: 1. Not having your staff inform you of changes when you are in fact called 2. Not calling your clients within that 30 minutes to check if that are coming or there is an emergency. Which you stated, Liz, that you do not have to do. 3. Punishing, not simply following policy, but punishing a 4+ year client for being hospitalized. Of which I have documents. I also offered to show it to you, Liz, when we spoke on the phone. In the which you replied you have zero interest in seeing. 4. No matter how many times you tell me, "We gave you plenty of notice with multiple texts and emails" This apparantly does not account for ANY medical emergency or Acts of God. In other words, if a client had been struck by a car and was hospitalized or even died your stance verbatim on the phone was "It's policy that I charge you 70% and in some cases 100% of the appointment that's been missed." While I can understand a charge/fee for no call no show, which turns out this situation is not, what you have implemented is punishment for the client, while falsely claiming it's protection for your staff since "they are not hourly". But this partly false? Why? Because you're establishment clearly states you accept walk-ins. While your staff is paid hourly the opportunity for income is only denied by your "policy" in order to accept fees at the expense of not only your clients, but also your staff, who likely lost the client due to this policy. I'm truly saddened, frustrated, and embarrassed at your lack of business ethics, empathy, and greed. As a business owner myself, I do not and will not recommend you Liz or your establishment to anyone. Your shame knows no bounds.

Reading her reviews got me excited, and during our consultation, she explained her enzyme-based lifting process that avoids bleach and keeps hair health intact. She took the time to deeply analyze my hair, and set aside extra time during the appointment to adjust as she went since she was undoing months of box color and old faded highlights. Micha gave me a beautiful, lived-in, blended cinnamon chocolate balayage specifically designed to grow out naturally so I wouldn't need touch-ups every few months. She also did a dry cut using unique techniques I loved. In terms of final styling, I love a full bouncy, smooth blowout with a round brush, and am particular about the technique (needs to be sectioned out fully with each section pulled with a lot of heat and tension), so I did end up restyling it at home to my own liking, but that's just me. What she created with my color and cut though was exactly what I wanted. Beyond her skill, Micha is a true creative, full of spunk and confidence with the wildest stories. If you need things done a very specific way and aren't open to a creative approach, she may not be your person. But she knows exactly what she's doing, and you just need to let her do her thing.
