I would advise anyone considering hiring Reliable Paving of Johnson, TN to review the BBB reviews…read moreof the company. It is an indication of past problems with their work that was borne out by our experience with them. We hired them to repave a steep driveway with a shallow grade at the bottom that directs water around the house. Despite describing the challenge of the drainage beforehand and indicating to the contractor that part of the driveway was not graded corrrectly when they finished (and the contractor's assertion that it was) we experienced repeated flooding of an adjacent carport starting the next day during a heavy rainfall. Fortunately, because we had Reliable include on the invoice a statement that the grade would be fixed if the driveway did not drain correctly (and because we stopped payment on the check for the work as soon as the drainage problem arose) they regraded the driveway within a week to redirect the drainage away from the carport but, as subsequent rainfalls proved, the carport still occasionally flooded in very heavy rainfalls and we had to install a roof gutter to correct the remaining problem. Added to this the ragged edges of asphalt installation along the driveway (compared to other driveways in the area) and the argumentative attitude of the contractor and overall it was not a good experience. And FYI, mail sent to their address listed in Johnson, TN was returned as undeliverable.

This company should be shut down. We had them do our driveway a little over a year ago and they did…read morea horrible job. Joe and his son are not trustworthy. We made several attempts to contact them to correct their mistakes with no responses. This year the driveway started cracking and sinking. We had another company come out and they had to tear up and replace a portion of the driveway because it was done wrong. More people need to let others know their name maybe Reliable but they are a fraudulent company taking advantage and lots of money from innocent customers.

Warning! Do not trust Bradley Parkhurst. Instead, pray for him. He came to our house the beginning…read moreof October 2025, gave us an estimate for repairing the crack in the crown and installing an insert. We accepted the proposal, signed a contract, and he said I had to make a $500 downpayment so he could order the chimney liner. I wrote him a check, which he cashed immediately. He texted a few days later and said it was backordered. Then no contact. I called and left a voicemail message after a week, then texted after two weeks. Finally in November someone texted me back saying Bradley was away on family emergency. I left him alone over the holidays and contacted him again the first week of January 2026 by texting, and got no response. I left another voicemail the next day, no response. I also left him a message in the Yelp app - always expressing my condolences. The last time I called him, it directly hung up, so apparently he blocked my phone number. Running a small business can be hard, and they can experience hard times. I've always been friendly and understanding, giving Bradley the benefit of any doubt. I wish he were just honest if he needed to use my money to get by temporarily and would commit to honoring our contract eventually. Instead he stole our money and is avoiding me. It's between him and God now, except I strongly suggest you avoid this business so you're not hurt as well. Now I have a cracked chimney that is leaking and no money to repair it.

We purchased a condo in Bend that needed some artistic renovations. Since we don't live in Bend, we…read morewere a bit nervous about finding a good, reliable contractor. We saw Ron on Yelp and reached out. He returned my call immediately which we really appreciated and in talking to him, I felt totally at ease and knew he was the right person for the project. He got the keys to our condo before we did!! He kept us in the loop and he kept everything moving on schedule. Above all, he did a fantastic job! Not only did he do the renovations that we envisioned, he made suggestions for bettering our ideas. He really "got" what we wanted and made it happen. We couldn't be happier with the finished product! After the condo projects were done, we hired Ron to build out custom pallet wood headboards and floating nightstand shelves. They are amazing! Ron was so much fun to work with that if we could have created more projects for him to do, we would have! Just an all-around nice guy & we couldn't recommend him more! Thanks Ron!!

Wow!!! Ron sets the bar for best experience ever with a contractor. We purchased a vacation home…read morein Sunriver and walked through it together with Ron, decribing our vision and leaning on his expertise. We love that he approaches his business as a partnership with the client, offering design, material and labor options. Ron always shares the pros/cons for an informed decision and is extremely communicative so we always knew how things were tracking. The vision was delivered, including some added scope, on the agreed timeline and price structure. So unreal! Here are some specifics on our project. We decided to replace all of the flooring, build a new kitchen island, create a focal fireplace facade and paint the entire interior. Ron knew we intended for this to be a short-term rental as well so every step along the way he made recommendations of materials that would accomplish the look we wanted to achieve and also provide the durability necessary for renters. We personally wanted to dedicate several weekends towards doing some of the improvements ourselves and Ron was amazing about embracing that and working through the schedule together. During those weekends I often found new projects that slightly expanded the scope, which Ron always accommodated. Since everything is a handshake with him, there was never a mess of change order agreements; he just adjusted his work plans and reflected the new work in the billing. Working with Ron from about 200 miles away felt like we were working with a next door neighbor. He has become our friend through this process and still holds a key to our home. In fact, we recently contacted him for a small outdoor project that he readily squeezed into his already busy schedule and we are so pleased to know that piece of our home is now up to code and build to withstand the Central Oregon elements. Bravo Ron!
