It was quite expensive just for the transmission evaluation and if I needed more work it would not be discounted in any way. Despite their polite attitude and fast service, I took it to another dealer which was half the cost for an evaluation and their report was the complete opposite of Lake Sumter Trans!! They suggested a transmission flush and fluid replacement and it absolutely worked. It also cost half as much for what I was quoted at Lake Sumter! My truck is running like brand new. I appreciate the time they took to try and help but there is always a benefit in having a 2nd opinion. Even their explanation of why my engine has issues was totally wrong. They stated it is one of the worst engines/trans and yet the other place said they hardly ever have any issues with this engine and that it is super reliable and low maintenance. They suggested a flush of trans fluid would probably fix it. I guess just google info and kinda know what you are dealing with before you go so you know the "motor" language and don't get talked into something that doesn't sound right. So glad I went to a second place. I was about to sell off my beautiful 2019 Chevy truck with 52,000 miles on it and in mint condition bc I thought I would be spending over $7,000 on a transmission. They said it was impossible for the belt to be completely black and void of any indications of marking or writing if it had been new 3 months ago. Additonally the timing belt tensioner was totally shot. All new parts were supposedly replaced by almands on Sept 16. Also the belt cover was taken off to do the work and was never put back on. All the work had to be redone that almands charged me for. Its impossible that all markings wore off a supposedly brand new timing belt in less than 2,000 miles and 97 days

A few days later I noticed that the transmission was my original transmission that he had rebuilt instead of a new one. That's not what our agreement was. My transmission is still leaking and slipping on the same ticket, I paid for breaks to be done. He replaced the rotors and break pads. Now my breaks are squeaking loudly, and catching. Also, my ABS, slip, and air bag lights are on from damages caused by muffler man. On top of that, the shop damaged all 4 rim caps. I brought this to the owner's attention. He agreed to make it right and had me send information to replace the rim caps. I kept texting him and he ignored me. He also said he gives a Veteran discount but he didn't apply I paid with AMEX, after paying a $300 fee, so I put the transaction in dispute because I didn't get what I paid for. The owner then, called my wife and told her I committed a felony. He refused to communicate with AMEX arbitration system for resolution. He needs to pay for damages he has caused. My garage is saturated from leaks, my ABS system is damaged, and my transmission is still leaking and slipping. He won't make contact with AMEX to remedy. Guess I'll take him to court because I'm out of $8500. This is very upsetting for me because I've had work done by this shop over the years with no problems. Don't know what happened but I'll never go there again.
