I first approached Sharon with a really vague idea that something was missing in my life. I was feeling disconnected - with myself, with others, with my purpose in life - and I knew it was time to do something about it. I had never worked with a life coach before but the idea of moving forward from the point you're at, exploring and becoming aware of your patterns, really resonated with me.
I appreciated that we started off with a very loose plan, so as to have some direction and understanding but with no pressure. It reiterated where I felt I was and then expressed where I'd like to be. A lot of my "where I'd like to be" was centered around feeling, connecting, and awareness, which were such foreign concepts to me at the time.
With Sharon, I felt truly heard. She introduced tools to me, like meditation, with an uncanny ability of knowing what would work well for me and when I was ready for it. New things are challenging and sometimes very scary but I felt so supported by Sharon in every step.
As I've told Sharon (many times), she has a true gift for recognizing your inner monologues that you don't even know you're having. I walked out of every session with a nugget so helpful, because Sharon was able to help me hear what I was really saying. She would shine a light on those back stories, always in her thoughtful and heart-centered way, that would help me to recognize them in my own day-to-day living. And that awareness led me (albeit, slowly) to shift away from the stories that were no longer serving me. Sharon had mentioned, early in the beginning of our time together, that this phenomen would happen - I'd be able to stop old patterns before they started - and I totally thought she was crazy. It would never happen. But it did!
Honestly, working with a life coach and focusing on your self-improvement is hard work. But to have a coach like Sharon on your side makes it easier. She is kind, thoughtful, spiritual, objective, honest and funny, and I could not ask for more in a coach. read more
