Maybe the quality of his work has always been bad, but he has enough customers who don't know any better. Maybe, he is incapable of recognizing how bad his work is. I recently took a pair of brand new leather boots and a pair of lightly used, clean and conditioned leather dress shoes that have satin laces to get a rubber half-sole applied. Not only was the work done extremely unprofessionally, but my boots and shoes were returned dirty and stained. The half soles on the boots are uneven. The bottom surface of the shoes was excessively and unnecessarily removed behind the half-soles on both pairs, but especially the boots. The brand new heel on one boot was even damaged on the corner! The cherry on top were the black stains left on the satin laces of the dress shoes. I can't buy replacement satin laces in the correct shade of green anywhere to match these shoes in case the stains do not come out. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a refund, I was met with denial, refusal, and responses of, "I don't give refunds, that's how I do everyone's shoes." He took no accountability. He charged me $130. I would not bring anything that you care about here, unless you want to pay to have your possessions mistreated. If he can't respect your shoes, he can't respect others or even himself. Sad.

Scuffs and scrapes were repaired and the pieces were refinished to match the original color. It took some time to get a booking since they are very busy, but it was worth the wait. Their repair person, Stacy, is the nicest lady and gave me a bunch of tips on how to preserve my leather for the long haul. She also did more work than I expected on the repair, she is a perfectionist! I give them my highest recommendation and am so glad they came to my house!

So we agreed to have them back again. Not only did they increase their price, mid-application of coating, but, after paying more than $300+ ALL THREE FAILED WITHIN 3 MONTHS. Fibrenew wouldn't come back to fix their mistakes. Throughout the time period I tried to work with them I found them uncooperative, discourteous and ridiculously unprofessional. Certainly not a company I would EVER work with again. I called the warranty company, who apologized for sending them, and, as of yesterday we paid an additional $600 out of pocket to another leather repair service to fix the previous mistakes and correct issues that resulted from the failure of the "professionally" applied protective coating. He charged $400 for this. I was shocked. Foam will compress after time and I assumed he would use a better material. I called him to discuss, and he said he was sorry I felt this way. He thought $400 was a good price. A lot of other people said he charged a fair amount. Not even close. For 1 hour's work and a piece of foam.
