As is typical of Sainsburys locals, all the prices are much dearer than in your city centre store…read more That is to be expected for a local convenience store that opens early in the morning to late at night. The staff in Farm street are lovely. They are all very polite, pleasant and chatty. It does get quite busy in there at times and as it is only small, there is no space to queue but the staff are very competent and soon get through the queue. The shelves are always well stocked and if you can't find what you want you can always ask. Of course there isn't much choice on offer but the selling point is like I said the convenience. They do have a good reduced section though and you can usually get reduced priced bread and salads as well as meats and fish. Sainsburys local do still have some of the offers on from the big stores so it is always worth a look if you have one near you.

The staff can't do enough to help you, and whilst the store is only small it has car parking, atm, lottery and pay point. I also noticed they have flowers, cards and gift card, always handy for last minute presents! Unlike most convenience stores in the area they tend to have pretty good avalability, and if its not in stock the staff will find out when its back, or if a another store has it. Always a pleasure to shop there, even if it gets a bit busy!

It's handily located and they are quite big on marketing their offers - brochures are posted through local houses and they have some good - if limited - half price of 3 for 2 offers. Staff friendly and helpful - parking isn't always easy as there are houses all around.

The shop is only small but is like an Aladdin's cave with so many different items stock. The staff are wonderful and know exactly what they are talking about and if they don't they look it up for you; they will not just pretend to know and risk giving you bad information. They will also give you there honest opinion if they think and item is not going to help you, they won't just sell you something just for the sale. The store is situated just out of town so the access is easy. The layout is really good and they have some great homeware pieces just as you walk in. They are part of the John Lewis chain so the items are not cheap but are really nice, and sometimes it is nice just to browse around this part of the store which sells furniture, electrical items, pictures and gift ideas as well as home furnishings anc children's clothes and toys. The food section is really well laid out too and although the prices seem a bit higher than places such as Morrisons and Tescos, you can often get things that you can't find in other supermarkets, so if you are looking for something special then I find this is a great place to visit. I do find the queues are higher in here than in other supermarkets, but the stafff are always really nice and cheerful. It looks a lot more higher class than other supermarkets but I do find that the price reflects this. It is a nice place but I don't think I could afford to do my weekly shopping here very often.
