The staff in Farm street are lovely. They are all very polite, pleasant and chatty. It does get quite busy in there at times and as it is only small, there is no space to queue but the staff are very competent and soon get through the queue. The shelves are always well stocked and if you can't find what you want you can always ask. Of course there isn't much choice on offer but the selling point is like I said the convenience. They do have a good reduced section though and you can usually get reduced priced bread and salads as well as meats and fish. Sainsburys local do still have some of the offers on from the big stores so it is always worth a look if you have one near you.

The staff can't do enough to help you, and whilst the store is only small it has car parking, atm, lottery and pay point. I also noticed they have flowers, cards and gift card, always handy for last minute presents! Unlike most convenience stores in the area they tend to have pretty good avalability, and if its not in stock the staff will find out when its back, or if a another store has it. Always a pleasure to shop there, even if it gets a bit busy!

As with all Co Op stores there are always lots of special offers on that change all the time, but are easy to find as they keep the up to date offers and the produce relating to them at the front of the store so you can easily grab a bargain. It's a medium sized store, has it's own small bakery and hot meat section, which a lot of time time is empty! but I think I probably go too late in the afternoon to get them. There is everything you would expect from a larger supermarket in this compact store, and it's good value. The wine and spirit section is always plentifully stocked with a wide range of wines and beers from around the world, and there's always some special offers to save you a few pennies!

However this isn't the only reason that I tend to visit several times a week. It's a newsagents/minimarket type shop which stocks a very good range of newspapers and magazines in addition to frozen and chilled food, soft drinks, alcohol, typical groceries and other household sundries from fuses to toilet cleaner and all sorts in between. Unlike many of these minimarket type shops the prices are very keen (sometimes even beating the major supermarkets) and there are often special offers on. The Nagra's always have time to have a word or two and are very friendly; a welcome part of the community, this is what a 'corner shop' should be like - it was when I was a child anyway.

However, the staff at this branch on the Headrow are so friendly. My dad was recently in Leeds on business and he had forgotten to bring any toothpaste with him. Sure, people remind you never to forget your toothbrush, but where is the same warning for its matching paste? An oversight. We were going for a few drinks at Mr Foley's and supper at Tampopo, when we made the detour into Around The Clock to remedy the problem. My dad politely asked the guy behind the counter of its whereabouts, and the three men who were serving in the shop started singing an impromptu rap-cum-song about toothpaste! An excellent moment in the day. After being touched by their camaraderie, we bought a few other items, and left feeling uplifted and amused in equal measures. The performances are not scheduled, but do pop in any time for brilliant customer service of a well stocked local shop.
