I went into the store on my way to work one night, and the guy behind the counter, kinda bigger…read morewith grey hair and a mustache i think his name was jake or something, any ways I walked up maybe 5 feet from the door to the counter to purchase some hot food to eat later at work and instead of greeting me kindly he yelled at me in front of every other customer for no leaving my bag (witch contained about $3000 worth of equipment i use at work every night) on the floor next to the unlocked door. because they have problems with thieves in the area, im familiar with the no bags policy how ever every other employee there has had no problem with me walking from door to till not even all the way into the store. I feel i was singled out as there were female persons in the place with hand bags clearly larger than my backpack who were not required to leave them at the door. upon asking Jake if he could possiblty put my bag containing my valuables by the till he responded by telling me that if i had such expencive stuff in my bag then i should be driving to work, as if everyone has the option. I work graveyards at a minimum wage job 5 nights a week. pay my bills I dont deserve to be treated like a criminal just for walking into the store with a bag on my back. this employee seriously needs to be trained on proper customer service skills. i wont be shopping there any more and after similar incidents with my roommates they have stopped shopping at this store as well. the guy is very ignorant and narrow minded

Co-op Gas Bar reminds me of the days living in Calgary. Co-op was my go to grocery store when I was…read moreliving in Calgary. Nothing too special here. Co-op does not have any grocery stores in BC. This is only a gas station/ convenient store. They have diesel here. They also have a large parking lot behind the convenience store for those who want to just pick up a few things like liquor from the store. They are located right off the highway.
