According to the locals, this is a bigger store than the regular ones. If I get a chance to visit a regular store, I'll confirm, lol. This one does have 2 levels, and you can take the lift (elevator) or the escaltors escalators. The escalator going down wasn't working the times I've been, but just walk down anyway. They have cashiers for check out as well as self check-out lanes. Prices here are awesome! I'm a huge fan of their bakery bread and the snacks. Their sparkling water game is pretty strong, too. Don't be shocked if I check in here again, lol!
There are Tesco's literally everywhere these days, none more so than probably in Liverpool city…read morecentre. If you're around Liverpool, Tesco's of all versions are dotted around places: metro, local, express, superstore. If there are any more, you'll have to let me know! The Liverpool One branch of Superstore is not actually the most super I have come across in Liverpool as there is one in Litherland which is gargantuan in comparison. However, Liverpool One Tesco is certainly what the town needs. You still have plenty of choice here, a variety of sections such as deli, clothes and international foods to keep you adding more to your basket! I find this place more of a relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience as opposed to the Metro version by the big screen, because its more spacious and offers an abundance of products. The location isn't great if you're driving there as it'll cost you pounds to park somewhere nearby but certainly convenient when you have other chores to do around town.
It's orange-y & cakey, not "Twix-y" like I thought! Good, though!
Tesco's finest! Great for gifting!

Driving on the left hand side is not something to choose easily....I have only done it once before in 1982 in Jamaica and it was fine because I was incredibly young and the roads were less travelled back then but it's hard to change. I know many accidents/ deaths that have happened because of this. Anyway we decided to do the train bit. When we arrived at the York train station we had some time to wait so Joe said " Go check out the Booths" I already knew this is a grocery store chain in England and had seen it before But I was blown away at this one and was surprised to find it at the Windermere train station. I spent a good 45 minutes in there and purchased many items for our next destination. Beautiful produce and it also had a whole bakery area and a area with pharmacy type items too. When Joe insisted I go honestly I was a bit annoyed like Why? Lol Great store! Best in town!

I made several Thai dishes and Booths had all the necessary ingredients from fish sauce to palm sugar to dried kaffir lime leaves. Prices are much lower and the selection much larger than you'd find in London. Try £26 for a bottle of Veuve, and yes we bought a case for Christmas lunch! If you're self catering in the Lake District and are looking for quality well above your average Tesco Express, be sure to make the drive to Booths.
Tesco have just opened their new store in Accrington. Before this, there was only an Asda and an…read moreAldi, so I definitely welcome another store. The store is very easy to find, it is based where the Accrington college used to be situated. The car park is under the actual store, so is very large, although I always find that under-store parking seems to be dark, maybe a few more lamps wouldn't go amiss. There are two cash-points at the main entrance and I quite like the box with two foot-prints painted on the outside of them, to show people to stand back when waiting, I personally loathe people standing to near me when I use an ATM. Just inside the entrance on the right is a play area for the kids, you will notice when entering the store that there is enough light, as the window-walls are next to the 'Travelator' that you go up to the shopping level. Of course, the store is an 'Extra', so it offers grocery, electronics, clothing, pharmacy and has a stylish cafe just as you get to the shopping floor. The aisles are very wide, so it's great to get round, this in fact is the reason I shop here, also down to the fact that the Tesco is new, so it's fairly quiet at most times, I think this is down to the locals being loyal to Asda, but I would recommend they try Tesco out at least once or twice, it's a lot bigger than Asda and I find that there is more on offer at Tesco.
