Fortunately, our builder, David Moxey, Axton, VA., recommended using ICF forms, specialized blocks which include insulation. After the forms are set in place, concrete is pumped into the entire foundation in one continuous pour and when set, sealed from moisture with pool lining material. In this way, the walls are seamless, insulated and waterproofed throughout. As a result, the basement of our home is sealed against moisture and mildew. Now, in the summer of 2015, we have had absolutely no problems in our basement. David Moxley is one of the very few contractors in this part of VA. who has experience setting and pouring this specialized foundation. If you are considering a new home or building construction, I would recommend that you talk with Moxley Construction first. I. for one, am very happy that I did just that. Bob Cook

He was able to take care of what we needed done and was more than fair on his price. We will definitely use him again in the future. Lousy painting technique and does not follow principles of good prep work for painting. Left mess of unused lumber at job site. I can tell he has actually written his own review because he uses no puncuation when he writes. Do not believe the 5 star review-he wrote it.

Newcomb Maintenance came highly recommended. Unlike the other area contractors, he actually returned my call almost immediately and came the same day to review the job. He arrived as promised, taking a few measurements and making a sketch as we talked. He submitted his quote via email followed by a call in case I had any questions. To say that it was reasonable is an understatement - he came in at a third of the first bid that I received. Amazing. When the work began, Mr. Newcomb arrived with his crew - reviewed the project points and made the necessary introductions. From that point, the work moved quickly and ever so efficiently. Each day the team arrived as promised, worked diligently and only took a break for lunch. Four days later the work was completed and Mr. Newcomb returned for the walk through to inspect the work.
