There was no one in the service area, but an employee noticed me and instructed me to purchase the inserts from the parts department and pay for them at the cashier, then he'd get a service technician to install them for me. The parts guy, cashier, and service technician were all very friendly. Even though the tech mentioned that he was the only one working due to vacations, he took the time to show me how to install the inserts. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. It started raining on my way home, so I was happy to have good working wipers. I've never been at this dealership before, but my experience was very pleasant.

The battery had been replaced 6 months ago- the vehicle broke down again- was towed to this location. There was at best tenacious communication with the family member & the shop manager. The situation was finally handled by a salesperson- Tory Gilbert who offered to purchase the vehicle. The main thing is he was empathic but nicely emphasized the warranty situation. He was courteous- professional & provided excellent feedback to the owner & myself- he deserves a 5 star but not the dealership in my opinion. There was a breakdown in communication with the shop manager & owner. I'm happy Mr Gilbert was effectively able to tone down the rhetoric. The lower rating for the dealership is because it was evident the "bumper to bumper warranty was not thoroughly explained- it was an opportunity to sell the warranty- so the owner had to purchase another battery & get the vehicle on the road himself. I'm sure- lessons learned on both sides

I purchased from Car Corral II at the beginning of September 2021. I met with my salesman whose…read morename was Daniel. He was by far one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Daniel was also very honest and a just good human being all the way around. He never once pressured me to purchase my truck and never tried to feed me things he thought I wanted to hear. He won my business just by being honest and again not trying to sell me my vehicle. I took the vehicle for a test drive and basically knew it was exactly what I needed, the price was right and I was able to get them a check the same day. I was encouraged to take it to my mechanic if I wanted to and if something came up to give them a phone call. They offered me a 30 day warranty and again I was encouraged to call them with any issues. After driving the truck a bit I started to notice a mechanical problem, however these things can be expected when you purchase a used car. Car Corral also knows things happen and this is why they offer a warranty on all their vehicles. A company that purposely is selling bad vehicles would not offer a warranty of any kind, it just would not make business sense. I reached out to Daniel who told me to bring the vehicle back so they could help me out. I brought the vehicle back and to my surprise was given a loaner vehicle to drive while mine was being looked at. You can't even get a loaner vehicle at franchised dealerships these days, so this was an awesome benefit. I drove their loaner vehicle for a few days before receiving a phone call telling me to come pick up my truck. I arrived to pick up my truck and they said they were unable to locate the problem. However they didn't just say sorry about your luck they told me to take it to one of my mechanics and see if they could find anything. I took the truck to a different mechanic and they were able to locate my concern. I sent over the work order to Car Corral and they assisted me by helping me pay the bill. There was very little push back on this and I was pleasantly surprised. The customer service and integrity of this dealership is second to no one. They may not be a franchised dealership but they are not a "buy here pay here" either. These guys will take care of you even after you hand them their money. Thank you!

(One mounted directional tires backwards. When I returned saying the car pulled worse than before they also admitted not doing the alignment I had paid for because of time. Had I not returned they would not have told me. They let me drive out having paid for work they did not do! The other overfilled the oil at a change by double and neglected to fill the radiator at a flush!!!!) If I hadn't checked the fluid levels who knows what damage would have occurred to my car.) NO SUCH PROBLEM AT GATEWAY. It is nice to go somewhere you can trust and the polite helpful staff are truly appreciated. Many of my colleagues have Hyundai models and I tell all of them: Gateway is the BEST!!! Even if they are 15 minutes south of Richmond on 95, it is worth the extra few minutes drive. They do it right the first time, no excuses and don't mind answering questions. I couldn't say enough great things about them. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Shortly…read moreafter purchase, the vehicle was found to have oil leaks, which the dealership's service department repaired after the sale by replacing turbo oil components and gaskets. I was also informed only after delivery that the vehicle had non-OEM parts and missing fasteners, which were not disclosed at the time of purchase. Despite my concerns about certification standards and disclosure, the dealership has not offered a resolution that returns me to a neutral financial position. When I raised concerns and asked for the transaction to be unwound, I felt I was treated as though I had done something wrong for simply requesting accountability on a certified vehicle, rather than as a customer with legitimate concerns. This experience has been disappointing, particularly given the expectations associated with a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle. I recommend that future buyers ask detailed questions and carefully review inspection and disclosure documentation before purchasing.
