Clumber Park is a beautiful setting, and a good spot for a day out.
Originally a country house, which burnt down, there is still the stables and a lovely church to visit. But you go to Clumber for the lake and beautifully landscaped gardens. Unless you like cricket, in which case there's the C.C.C., or cycling, because you can hire a bike and cycle around the extensive grounds, or caravanning, because there's a Caravan Club site!
And being in National Trust hands, it has a good restaurant selling a variety of good quality food, and a National Trust shop.
