For starters, the booking process was seamless. There were multiple packages to choose from, whether you just want to try out a class or fully commit. I also had no idea that they offered more than just pole! Some of their classes include Street Heels, Metamorphosis (which is a pole-less class; just straight dancing), and a stretch class! For transparency, I've never took a pole class in my life. While nervous going in, you can't help but immediately feel welcome. The owner of the studio, Taylor, was quick to greet me and the front desk girl, Jules, was as kind as could be! I can't even tell you how much fun I had at this class, and I wasn't even any good! Everyone in the class, not just the instructor, was so supportive and I quickly realized that this was more than just a class. It was a community. I loved it so much that the next week I invited one of my besties to join me! It was such a blast and I can't wait to book my next class!!

My instructor was very nice (Jill) but it felt very rushed especially for a new student coming into the a barre studio for the first time. At the end of the class Jill and the desk person tries to pressure you to buy more classes, which is super annoying. I just took my second class today hoping it would be more organized and paced well. I signed up for a 5:30 class and showed up exactly at 5:30. When I walked in the class had just begun, but the front desk woman reprimanded me and said with an attitude that if I was going to be late I should have called ahead and that people my age seem to always be late to everything... BIG turn off. The class was just okay. The pace is rushed, and it feels like the instructor is just trying to get you to do as many combination of movements as possible in 45 minutes. The class was also jam packed, there was not enough room for everyone, they should definitely make a maximum guest policy to avoid this. Won't be coming back. Some of the workers (especially the front desk older woman) acts like they are high and mighty just because they work at a well known fitness club. There are so many BETTER local barre and fitness studios nearby that are personable and friendly!

Absolutely horrible. The front desk workers, especially the older/middle aged woman with red hair is extremely rude. She is very demeaning and makes you regret walking in. The best way to describe this customer service is that they believe they are better than you, unfortunately. The workout itself. I would give it a 7/10. It is a decent workout, if you are new to barre or pilates you will feel the burn. However is it worth the price, no not at all. I could easily find a YouTube video with the same type of instructor and complete the same workout at home. The instructors kind of just move through the motions. There is no "let's go!" energy, there is no hands on or verbal support to fix postures to limit injury, and there really is not much of a personable experience. If you are looking for a GREAT, personable, individualistic barre class this is not where you should go. Literally more than half the class is lost and not sure how to fix their form and it's very unfortunate to see. I highly recommend THRIVE barre in Pelham if you are looking for an awesome high energy motivating class where you will be helped all areas. I was very sad to be let down by pure barre, as it is so close to my house. I will not be returning and I really recommend that you look elsewhere.

I haven't found a class I don't like and there are many more instructors! My favorites so far are Yoga for a Healthy Back with Faith, Open Level and Vinyasa Core with Matt and Dina. I'm looking forward to trying the other classes. Every staff member I've met so far, whether through class or front desk, have been incredibly friendly and helpful. The members here are great too! My only qualm is that there aren't markers on the floor to indicate where to put mats. So when a class is packed yogis are scattered about and the space isn't maximized.

Located conveniently next to my apartment, WYA has every kind of class I could ever need, and class sizes are smaller than in Manhattan so there is more individualized attention (and space to move!). Not to mention, this studio is way more affordable! The space is very clean, but be warned there are no changing rooms (just 2 private bathrooms). WYA has a wide variety of different yoga classes (core classes, gentle classes, classes for beginners, classes for more advanced folk) and zumba/belly dance classes to boot. Zumba is one of my favorite classes at this studio- it's a fantastic workout! All the instructors (for zumba and yoga) are super friendly, helpful, and are there to answer all questions. The studio has a very "family oriented" atmosphere among the staff and clients, and most of the instructors will remember your name. What I also enjoy about this studio, is that there are opportunities to advance in your practice. The yoga classes here take you step by step through head and hand stands and show you proper set up and form for learning more advanced moves. I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone looking for something in New Rochelle.

The thought of adding more pain to my daily dose of it was not something I was looking forward to. But Margarita really paid attention to everything I told her about my medical history and she created a very thoughtful and safe workout plan for me. I am getting into better shape than I was in my 20's. I am doing things like deadlifts - something I never knew my body was capable of! I feel strong and healthy again. It's truly been an amazing journey! Margarita cares about her clients. Her passion for health and fitness is evident from the moment that you meet her. I've been taking Gina's spin classes for the past four years which were great but paid little…read moreattention to strength training and decided to do both personal and group training in October of 2012. When I started I was so out of shape I was unable to do more than 5 push ups and couldn't even jump rope without tripping. Working with Gina on both individual and her group UFX cross training helped me lose 25 lbs and reduce cholesterol by 30 points in 8 months. I'm much fitter and now can do 100 push ups in 2 minutes and did 180 consecutive jumps in 2 minutes of jump rope. I feel about 10 years younger and have more energy than I've had in years due to working with Gina. Gina has a high energy level and works with clients to understand their goals, works on a realistic plan to achieve the results all while keeping the exercises interesting and challenging.
