My wife and I just went for our very first time this weekend. We got there around 1am and it was decently packed. Entrance fee was $30 - There was about 8 couples and close to 40 single guys. When we walked in I could see multiple guys checking out my wife but we both loved it. There was definitely a funky smell but nothing too horrible in my opinion. We started off by sitting down at the tables they had in the middle on the first floor. After about 15 minutes of just feeling out the place we headed to the smoke area and this is where it got a little weird. We had multiple men follow us outside and just awkwardly stand next to us without saying one word but they were just staring us down. Not one of them came up to us and the guys who did come up to us would immediately say "Can I join?" "Do y'all play with singles?" I get it... it's a sex club but they couldn't have started with a "Hello, how are you? My name is..." no class at all. They were just super creepy. Most left us alone after we told them it was our first time and we were just checking it out. After we were done hanging out outside we headed up stairs. There was multiple guys sitting on the couch just waiting for couples or women to invite them. We toured the upstairs and everywhere we went guys just followed us around... not saying a word just staring. A few even tried to touch my wife and this became a problem because throughout the night multiple guys tried touching her. They didn't ask for consent or say anything.. they would just touch. Super predatory behavior if I'm being honest. We had a really bad experience with a black guy who came up to us and started talking about death and murder... like dude no one wants to hear that shit especially at a sex club. Almost ruined our entire night. Finally we had ONE decent guy who talked to us like a normal person. He said hello and introduced himself - asked questions about us and if we were having a good time. After some talking he ended up leaving and wising us well. Later on we saw him again and invited him to a private room with us. We had so much naughty fun in there and it made everything that happened worth it. We both left feeling pretty good about the place but it was a little rough. Overall this place felt like a motel 8 type of club with a bunch of desperate guys who have no social skills... if you're a single women I would just be very careful. Even couples, guys can get super weird. Oh yes I forgot to mention... on our way to the car a group of 4 guys drove next to us and rolled down their window. They didn't say anything but just stared down my wife.. lucky we made it to the car and I had my gun in there but super sketchy and potentially dangerous walking to your car. read more

It's a good place to go to for swingers but most people don't participate. They just dance and watch. When you do participate, there are always guys coming up to you asking if they can join in. I went in on Sunday karaoke night and it was slow I got in around 10pm nobody there but then around 11:30-12 more couples and single males started to show more single men then couples sadly but none the less by the end of the night I did end up getting lucky with a couple and I am a single male so it is possible for us and it was a slow night so I can only imagine when it's busy! I didn't like it as much. The place was a little small. I thought it was going to be more sociable couches. Lounges but it wasn't as creative as I imagined. Maybe I left too early and just wasn't ideal going in there that night as a single guy. Inequality of women wasn't as good as normally. I worked for them, briefly for a couple of months, in 2008. I've been out of the state for at least 17yrs & and I rarely visit, now. I come to enjoy pole dancing mostly. I've always liked that. I visit the club every so often but whenever I do, the tenured, older, black , bald guy who's worked with me before is always glaring at me with disdain. I've been back into the state for three years & the owner, as well as the above mentioned person has shown me passive aggressive contention. I come here like any other patron to this place. I was let go and very ok with it so just why? Lol! And from MEN, no less. The lady in front who, collects the fee, is a great people person, how ever, it's been way too many years since I've been employed with this company to be looked at in a negative way. I am no longer an employee, but a paying customer. And now I have a career. This is really unacceptable and I would not recommend. Judgement and a sausage fest is what you'll get! Plus I was a patron, with my guy, every Friday at noon before becoming an employee. While I worked there, I earned the entire club 345.00 to eject a prostitute and split the funds with my co workers. It is weird for men to have beef with a female after 17yrs. The bald, tenured, black guy working the front is ALWAYS too concerned about me, in general. I don't care and never did that he is there. I go for ME. I'm a patron right now. I do have fun there because I know how to do it, on my own, but 17 years of beef is crazy. I did not know that until tonight. I like to pole dance for exercise but this is really unacceptable because business is business. They don't have to worry about me coming back. I'm sure it's a mutual feeling. read more

Pros: * The building is older, but everything was clean * The woman at the front door was welcoming and helpful * We got a good tour from Shea * The mirror room is great! I have read some of the reviews and wanted to give everyone a current, accurate review of Club Encounters. My wife and I went on a Saturday night. We got there pretty early, around 9:15 p.m. They were not able to give us a tour because there was a party going on upstairs and her full staff wasn't due in until after 10. The entry price was reasonable for a couple, $30 for a couple on Saturday. When we got in we walked around to take a look and gave ourselves a self guided tour. The club is on the older side. It isn't shabby, but it is clearly older and a little dated. The Jacuzzi room looked nice and it was clean and clear. The video room is comfortable enough but you really sink down in the couches. The dance area is small but enough for this club. We asked when we came in and were told you can "play" anywhere in the club except for the patio. They have several rooms upstairs. The rooms remain locked and you have to have an attendant let you in. They then clean the room when you come out. We did see a group in one of the larger rooms playing (they left the door open for viewing) and it seemed to be comfortable enough for fun play. At around 9:30 there were 8-9 couples and about 10 single guys. The reviews about their being a lot of single guys and them following people around is true. However, it depends on what you are looking for as to whether this is a bad thing or not. The attendants were very active to make sure none of the single guys crossed any lines. We were looking for some fun and quickly found it. We tried one of the rooms. It was clean, large enough to move around and even had a special position chair in the room. It has photos on the wall showing different positions that could be tried with the chair. We played and had fun. We will be going back. The only thing we didn't like is the attendant upstairs almost demanding or bullying customers for tips after you leave the room. Otherwise, I think this is a good club to play at and easily the best in Phoenix. read more

Received a full tour of the place on a couples night and decided to stay. We tried out the jacuzzi first. It is a bit run down, but worked ok. The water is kept at 104 degrees, so have water with you to hydrate. After the jacuzzi time, we sat in a side room on the first floor to get comfortable. We had mild fellatio with others watching (only one creepy guy) from the other room. Another guest approached us with nice and inviting conversation. We then went upstairs and went into one of the many rooms (they fill up quickly on couples nights). We played with the door open so others could watch. One couple sat on the couch and just watched us play. The nice guest who introduced herself and her husband came upstairs and joined us in a soft swap foursome. While playing, up to four other couples were watching us but didn't partake. After we were all satisfied, we left. The downstairs was filling up as it got late. Singles are allowed in at 1am so we left before then. The place COULD use a little touch up. The bed was a bed spring only and not a mattress; a little uncomfortable. This was the worst place I have ever been to. It was 30 bucks to walk in the door and it smelled like urine so bad and they tried to cover it up with uranyl cakes and this wasn't even the worst part. My husband and I have come here many times before and we use to enjoy it here a lot because come on what other place can you go to and be able to express your sexual self and mingle with like minded people in a safe/fun environment, but when we recently went there the first Friday of September after not been there in over a year was a total game changer. So here was our experience [First thing when we opened the door to the establishment I see the woman who always works as Cashier, and she was talking to someone, but as we walked in she locked eyes with me and said "Oh-No"... and left it at that and took my money and stamped my husbands hand and she and the woman she was chatting with chuckled as we walked in.. She didn't specify if that was still part of the conversation with her friend and say sorry or if that was towards us and so that made it a very Uncomfortable start to this night because her vibe was very rude. We continue in and the music in there was NOT the greatest choices to get people up and in the mood to meet and greet comfortably. It kinda felt sad in there to be honest everyone was off to them selves and the vibe wasn't very relaxing to mingle and it felt tense with a lot of single men in there not very clean looking (not dressed to impress). We went up stairs and there was a few people using 2 of the 6 rooms and we really wanted to go into the couples room with the awesome swing but the vibe of the people that were there didn't make it feel Comfortable because we can be seen (its a voyeur couples room) usually we don't mind that but like i said the vibe of clientele that night was tense. When we went out to the patio to relax and chit chat there was some people already out there but the vibe out there was super depressing because there was a woman who was just ranting about how bad her life is and all the things going wrong in her life with jail and family... Wasn't a get to know ya happy kinda talk.. I know it's not the establishments fault for the people that come in but at least Change up the music and look like you enjoy your job and not come off as judgemental to your customers who choose to come in. When i found this place i was so excited but the vibe is so off it's frustrating. Maybe if the owner could perk up the place and make it more comfortable and fun to be at because i love the idea of this place and it has potential if effort was put in to it. I've been to clubs like this in L.A., NYC and London. Never have I felt like a fresh piece of meat like I did tonight. There were maybe five couples, a pair of women together and about twenty guys. Unfortunately they were not the type of men I normally find myself conversing with. Most clubs like this try to keep a balance of women and men. This place obviously does not. Warning to all single women, unless you like out of shape, over the hill, non-english speaking men who obviously can't tell when a woman is not interested I'd avoid this place if either going alone or meeting people there. It did however seem clean, the staff polite and friendly, and some larger sized security. Being new to the Phoenix area, I decided to visit the Swinger Lifestyle club. Guess I am a bit spoiled after living in Atlanta for 11 years and being a member of Trapeze (upscale swingers club). Encounters left Me blah. The decor and furniture needs to be updated (everything seems at least 15/20 years old) UPGRADE. It is a very HETEROSEXUAL club! I went here with a crew of Female Friends, & when we got a little friendly with each other, they told us a "man' had to be present in the room. WTH! I have been sitting in the parking lot for an hour and have seen more males than females go in. This is a swingers club with almost no ladies. If that's your thing please by all means go on in. A huge waste of time. The rooms lack airflow and it feels hard to breath in them. Not to mention the smell. Creepy older men follow you about the place with no shame. My date and I were getting tours of the rooms from an employee and the hall would get congested with men following us from room to room.
