My other half and I dropped in on Friday the 8th of April not knowing exactly what to expect…read more After paying our entry price we wandered down to the small performance space and joined a half dozen men as the only couple at that point. The performances were certainly more on the artsy end of things than say a strip club (nothing against, my other half helped pay her way through law school stripping). We were struck with how well behaved the customers were, even with the language barrier we felt totally comfortable as did the performers, a fact that became important later. Being a couple with an attractive female half, all of the performers paid us a little extra attention, which is nice and was not surprising. What did surprise us is when one of the performers came out and after doing her opening, clearly planned/rehearsed routine, decided to have some fun with us. She first pulled me down to the "stage" area, and put me in a chair facing the audience as if she was going to do a lap dance sort of number. She then brought my other half down and had her straddle me and encouraged us to make out, which was certainly nice. I knew my other half was in some very sexy underwear, and was teasing her about wishing I could show her off (but not knowing any rules there, did no more than I was instructed to do). As if on cue the lovely performer came over and slowly pulled my partners top off, giving her plenty of opportunity to stop it, but she decided to go with it. The bra even got a note of approval from the performer. A minute or two later, she returned and unhooked my partner's bra and removed it tossing it to the side. There was some light petting all while my partner sat on my lap still grinding a bit. Then the performer kept going, and so did my partner...she was pulled up and had her tight jeans pulled off her (revealing the rest of the matching set of underwear). Lastly, the performer put my hands on my partners panties, clearly giving us the option to continue or stop. In for a penny...I worked the panties down thus leaving my partner in less clothing than the performer. Next the performer got to my shirt, removing it and then undoing my pants...and around then her 15 minute set was ending and I think she was actually caught by surprise when the music stopped as she was having fun. We all grabbed our clothing and quickly redressed to some applause, with the performer heading to the dressing room and the two of us taking our seats back in the audience. We stayed for a couple more sets, but we were more than worked up enough at that point to retreat to our Airbnb and finish our "dance". All in all a great night and a perfect memory of our trip to Paris. If you were one of the other customers that evening, we were not plants, we were just tourists with very open minds and comfort with nudity. Hope you enjoyed the extra "performer" that night.

However, the person behind the bar was very welcoming, and made the effort to use Google Translate to explain exactly what the venue was, and made sure I understood what was on offer. The show (Les Songes) itself was brilliant. Five or six acts of women performing an exciting mixture of cabaret, burlesque, striptease and the erotic - even though I have poor French understanding - I could follow every single storyline and didn't feel excluded. If there is an easier way to show - in the moment - that you don't have the French language skills; that would be even better - but that was not the important thing. The important things were the Sweeties - who are all incredible performers, and stunningly beautiful. I salute everyone involved in this creative venture, and I will definitely return when I am next in Paris.

We made reservations for "dinner and club" well in advance and arrived on time, dressed to the nines, in accordance with the stated dress code on the Chandelles website. After being examined by hidden camera, which records both audio and visual -- I should warn you -- in the antechamber, a rude doorman curtly told us "not possible," with no explanation whatsoever. As we were making our "walk of shame" out of the door, two other couples, who were neither hot nor dressed in accordance with the stated rules were warmly welcomed! My wife strongly suspects that they were regulars, and that the stated rules are selectively enforced. Avoid Les Chandelles at any cost!
