Wine walk in the Garden
Paulette C.

We attended a Rotary event at this beautiful botanical gardens. We were given a tour and provided with lots of information about the gardens. Thanks to a generous donation, the information building will be built. I'm excited to see the finished product, once the main building is completed. Until then, I encourage everyone to go take a walk through the gardens.

A beautiful garden run entirely by volunteers. Great place to spend an afternoon studying each plant variety. Parking is shared with the local family park. And the entrance fee is voluntary. Donations are welcomed. The one acre garden opened to the public in April of 2004. It is currently four acres. They are dedicated to educating the public about water conservation. You can expect to find the following gardens inside: Cactus, Mediterranean, South African, Chilean, Native Californian, Demonstration, Sensory and Children's. A Visitor Center is currently in the planning stages. If you'd like to purchase plants here they offer fall and spring sales events. Current hours; Wednesday through Sunday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Closed Monday & Tuesday.

Winter blooms in garden

Hidden gem in the Central Valley with nice demonstration gardens to learn about what types of foliage and fauna grow well in the valley climate. Right next to a big playground for all ages and large park.

This is a wonderful place to visit for the true beauty of plants native to the area, as well as those that do well, too.

I was here to do a breastfeeding photo shoot and it was the perfect time! I got to capture so many blooming bushes and flowering plants. I was surprised to know that this cute little garden is free and is operated solely by volunteers. They are open Wed-Sun 9am-4pm and is closed Mon-Tues. This garden has a beautiful entrance with our CA state flower the Golden Poppy display. The garden is really inviting for all ages. It is well kept and has nice walk ways for you to stay on and guide you to certain paths. There are many plants along the way. There are also seating areas with benches for you to take a break while your kids run around or if you want to relax. There are art like displays, and sculpture that are created by people and is donated to this garden. I just think it adds such nice touch to the surrounding. This park is located on the same grounds as Dry Creek Park, and there are plenty of parking spaces. It can tend to get pack, but I never had trouble not finding a spot to park. Definitely a great garden to visit!

This garden is right next to dry creek park in Clovis . Whenever we are at the park playing, we love to pop in here and walk around checking out everything. They sell plants and give you ideas of what to plant in your yard and a good lesson on what's native here. They hold events throughout the year and you can even rent out gazebo spots for your own special events.

One of my favorite local gardens. So zen despite there being a playground right outside the garden. Lots if shady spots and sunny spots depending what you're looking for when you visit. Very calming location and lots of surrounding walking trails that I love taking my dog on. Beautiful and clean. 10/10

Cute spot in town! It's small but they have a focus on xeroscaping and local foliage to use in your front and backyard to be environmentally safe and native landscape. They ended up having a bonsai sale when we stopped by so that was a fun surprise!

I love this easy trail. I usually do a round loop which ends up being one mile . You can go further . The road is the limit . My favorite time is during the fall with all the trees changing colors .

This is a historical landmark and she walked me through every room with great detail on the origin story and the rooms we were in. One of the best tour guides I've had. I have never experienced anything this - you have to really appreciate the amount of work, design and detail by Baldassare Forestiere - truly a feat! Very grateful the family makes this available for tours. Highly recommend if you appreciate gardening, architecture, art, engineering etc. They also did a great job of reminding me of my appointment and following up afterwards. The gardens were built in an unexpected park of Fresno and these is a lot of history behind them. Parking was somewhat difficult but once you enter, the staff were very kind, organized, and positive. Our tour guide Raul was super sweet and provided a lot of history regarding the gardens and the family who built them. Raul had my 3 young boys engaged and interested. He answered all my questions and was so open to conversation. You could tell Raul was proud to be there telling all of us how the Gardens came to be. The Gardens are very interesting. I've never seen anything quite like these. The smell of all the citrus trees combine with the natural cooling underground was amazing and made the tour comfortable. Alfredo Miguel Maintenance - What it was 2.1

Alfredo responded to my request for a quote quickly and he and his brother came to our house to look over the project. We have a small yard,so we had a hard time finding a landscaper to come out to give us a bid. Alfredo gave us a bid right then and there and also set up a date to start the work. An entire crew showed up on the day agreed upon. They had all the equipment and materials. They spent the entire day working, removing bushes, updating and rerouting our sprinklers and drip irrigation system. They brought in new plants, river rock, red humus and even built two garden boxes out of red wood. The crew was respectful of our property and our neighbors as well. We were pleasantly surprised when they chose to wrok until 8pm (on a very hot day) to complete the project. A few days later, I contacted Alfredo because our sprinkler clock was not working properly. He stopped by that day and replaced the clock. Now our new garden, plants and grass are being watered on schedule. We were pleased with the price, the work and the professionalism of this crew. We recommend them to anyone looking for landscape and maintenance work.

When I sent the pictures of my brass pipes to some contractors, they simply stopped responding. In comparison, Alfredo's crew came out, took a look, and then completed the work two days later with no fuss, and no muss. I am thankful for their dedication to getting the work finished, and making sure to keep me updated from day to day about the completion status of the work. The crew installed a key valve, since my old brass pipes were connected directly to my main water line without a shut off valve, they cut out the old brass pipes that had corroded and sealed themselves on to the PVC pipe for the sprinklers, they replaced all of the valves with new anti-siphon valves, and made sure all of them were in excellent working condition. Importantly, they also took the time to install new covers so my pipes will be protected from the sun. My sprinklers were a mess, and I now feel like they are ready to last me for years.

Support local plant nurseries!…read more Green Hills Nursery is an amazing place to shop if you're looking to spruce up your home with some indoor plants or add a little style to your front or backyard landscape. I came here looking for a lemon tree and some bougainvillea plants. Their variety of citrus plants they have here is amazing. Everything from orange trees to lemon trees and grapefruit to kumquats. I purchased a dwarf pink lemon tree, which I didn't even know existed. Supposedly, these lemons are yellow with greenish stripes on the outside with pink flesh on the inside, but still have that classic lemon taste. I didn't purchase any bougainvillea plants this time around, because of the lack space of my car, but there is a gorgeous selection of bougainvillea plants in every color and variety here. I also purchased an aloe plant that they had on sale, marked down to $24.99 from $50! If you're looking for succulents their selection is a little on the small side, but they do have a ton of tradition outdoor cacti and large palms as well. Beyond plants, they carry every sort of gardening, tool, soil, and outdoor decor you could ever need for your house. During my visit here, everything on the grounds was 10% off because they were celebrating their 10-year anniversary. Im so happy to see a local business thrive and I hope they're here for another 10+ years!
