Our Memorial Day…read moreweekend could have easily been ruined, but thanks to an incredible staff, it turned into a memory we'll never forget. (The MAYOR Rob along with Tammy, Sam, and Cori helped us tremendously.) After arriving, the kids played in the pool, we ate dinner, and were getting everyone settled for bed when we discovered the camper we rented through RVshare was completely full of ants. We immediately panicked because it was late, we had kids with us, and we really didn't want to pack up and drive back home after already starting our weekend. That's when MAYOR Rob came to the rescue. He radioed in, and Tammy and Sam quickly showed up with a key to a cabin they had available. They helped us move our things, get everyone situated, and completely saved our Memorial Day weekend. It's rare to find people who genuinely care the way this team did. Their kindness, quick action, and willingness to help meant more to our family than they probably realize. We are beyond thankful and truly appreciative for everything they did for us. Thank you again to Rob, Tammy, Sam, and Cori for going above and beyond. This level of customer service is something special, and it's the reason we'll absolutely be back!

We had our own little tiki bar, brought our own beers, played games, and drank the night away until 9 or maybe 10 PM. WHOA somebody stop us. The first day was gorgeous and the second day was cloudy. It never actually stormed at the park but apparently weather was detected farther away, so they closed the tiki bar and canceled the music. I get canceling the music for safety reasons, but WHY ARE WE CLOSING THE BAR?!? The storm wasn't even here! Let the people drink their beers in peace! The main pool with the slide was a little too much for me. Way too many people and kids for my liking. The License to Chill pool was nice, but that was crowded too. Apparently, everybody and their entire extended family decided to come swimming that weekend. I did love that they had a mini donut truck come through because fresh mini donuts are always a good decision. And riding my bike around the grounds was one of my favorite parts of the trip. We also rented a golf cart, which made getting around super easy. Plus, let's be real, driving around in a golf cart is fun as hell. Overall, I loved our campsite and had a great time hanging out with friends, but I feel like the resort experience itself could have been better. Between the crowded pools and shutting down the tiki bar and entertainment over weather that never actually hit the park, it was a little disappointing. Would I come back? Maybe! But next time, I'm hoping for better weather, fewer people at the pools, and a tiki bar that doesn't get grounded for a storm that's nowhere to be found.

There are a couple short hiking trails with lots of props placed here and there. Yes, there are full time people in the camp, and some are very poor; the kindness of the camp owner is a good thing. We're used to Ginnie Springs or similar parks so this was new to us. I'm giving it 4 stars bc the owner, Jeff and the residents were friendly. The camp sites were clean, offered power, sewer and water and was very quiet. We didn't see a lot of families but it's towards the end of summer so didn't expect to. There are 3 bathrooms/showers. We only used the ones at the pool area and they were nice. The pond has a lot of brim, bass and more for catch and release. They offer kayaks and canoes to use anytime before dusk. After passing by other campgrounds that we saw on google I think we'd definitely stay here again. It's literally a 5 minute drive to Weeki Wachee too!

This is a perfect little campground that can be reserved via the reserve America website. There's an option for RVs or tent sites. Maximum number of people is eight. Amenities include a picnic table, fire ring, potable water, Electricity with a 50 amp outlet, and a bathroom that includes showers. While we did not bring our fur friend, this is a pet friendly campground. Check in time is 3 PM and check out time is 1 PM. We really enjoyed our stay. The view of Oak trees and open grassy area. It really is the simple little things in life sometimes. Once you reserve your spot, you will be given a code for the gate in your reservation email. There are many hiking and primitive camping options nearby in the Withlacoochee State Forest. I will definitely be back !

I make no apologies that I don't view life from the same side of the coin as everyone else, and this is one of those places where you can shuck everything and just be yourself. So that's what I did. After greeting the Hostess, I got a comfy chaise in a shaded nook, took off the "shackles" of the every day, sprayed myself thickly with sun screen and joined the folks in the pool. Conversation and community is what was shared. No one was judged by size or weight, no one was preyed upon and that is what makes this place -very- comfortable. The RBC meet my needs, exceeded my expectations in many ways and the price didnt break the bank.
