Nothing fancy here. If you expect to lie face down and shove your face into that little donut hole and expect to see a beautiful little wooden bowl of scented water filled with pink orchid petals like I've had in other expensive massages, you're not going to get it here. I had a Groupon for a $35, 60-minute reflexology massage. Basically half the time is dedicated to a foot massage and the other half is focused on your back. Ten minutes of the 60 minutes is for undressing / dressing. Simple enough. I was told in advance that my LMT would be a male, which didn't bother me at all. I've had massages at a variety of places from cozy privately owned places like this to full service luxury spas. I adjust my expectations to each. It's a cozy place. You enter down a long slim hallway. There's a bench outside of the rooms. My therapist was ready when I arrived. I don't remember my therapists name but she did a basic Swedish massage. It was good. Not great. Not awful.Sometimes I feel like using a Groupon diminishes the level of service received. Here are some qualities of a really good massage therapist who is truly caring and passionate about wellness. None of this happened during my appointment 1) Even though you fill out that form they ask you what kind of pressure you like. 2) They ask if you have any particular areas of tightness or discomfort 3) They check on pressure during the massage (a couple of times she asked How is it?) 4) You can tell they've found a knot and are focusing on it a bit 5) When done you feel like jelly 6) When you exit the room they offer water or stress the importance of drinking lots of water to flush the system 7) They tell you about any areas of tightness they found and how regular appointments or a deep tissue could resolve it. I also had an issue with the Walmart candles. Most wellness professionals understand the toxins in those candles and use soy candles. Will I be back. No. There are better choices. read more

I am not sure about the service because I didn't get that far. I received a groupon to this place. The gift giver selected this location due to the proximity to my home. I was excited about this Groupon and the opportunity for a massage. I attempted to contact this location several times. The phone rang and rang but no one ever picked up. I believe i left two messages. I attempted again to contact them randomly after my Groupon expired and to my surprise someone picked up the phone. I wasn't sure who I called because the person I believe to be Valerie did not state it was a place of business. I explained to her that I had been attempting to call this establishment several times and I left at least two messages. She told me she found it hard to believe that I called and didn't get a return call. I felt her tone was condescending and a bit rude. She told me she returned my call twice and left two messages. There is no way I missed not one but two messages as I was waiting to hear back from this place. Anyway I scheduled the massage. I only scheduled it because the money was already put out. I was contacted later that day and told there was an opening that week . Unfortunately, I couldn't make that appointment. The following week i was contacted through text message saying my appointment needed to be changed and by the way the massage would be $85. I asked why the massage was going to be so much despite the advertisement I was emailed saying they had $50 specials. I was told because I was using a Groupon it couldn't be combined with any other deals. I was quite confused. I thought a massage was for relaxation the whole process should be smooth from scheduling to the actual massage. The process was nothing but stressful. I never made it to the front door. read more

I am 61 and over the course of the years I have gotten massages and reflexology at other places, but so far Cloud9 Wellness has gone over the top! I met Valerie at a women's conference and I liked her and her style she was calm and a sweet lady with a gentleness about her personality that really attracted me to her gift of touch as a masseuse. not only did she know her stuff but she treated me like a person not a customer and after knowing my medical history she delivered exactly what I needed in the areas I needed! I was in search of a birthday massage and stumbled upon a Groupon, which I never bought. Nonetheless; I reached out to the salon via facebook. The response was prompt and Valorie was very patient with me. We chatted back and forth over the course of the day (I was busy with a family emergency). I was booked with Blaire. I was nervous at first bc i never had a male masseuse. But we are meant to face our fears and it paid off. This is a little gem, a sanctuary in a town! I was relaxed from the moment I walked in. Valerie is just fantastic! The salon is small; but warm and very well appointed for a small suite. Valerie is well educated, warm, inviting and EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I had no idea she was so close to where I live. I purchased an on-line deal. When I called, I left a detailed message and Valerie called me back PRECISELY when I asked her to return my call. We were able to work out a best day/time for the massages for both me and my husband. Cloud9 Wellness is truly a hidden gem in Collingswood. And, by the way, her prices are extremely fair. In fact, they are below market price. And, she was so gracious upon accepting my gratuity. She professionally has posted that tips are not included in the price, are by no means required; but are graciously accepted. Valerie runs a first-rate therapy salon. I'm sure it's lovely. But they don't return phone calls. I called 4 times and finally got a random text with a screen shot "proving" they called me back once. (No message left). I texted back and they never responded again. I had a groupon and I got a refund. Waste of time. If they valued new clients things would have went much better. read more

I received a Groupon for Cloud9 Wellness as a birthday gift from my husband and what a gift it was! Valerie and Nicole are warm, welcoming and cordial. The shop is cozy and the atmosphere is serene. You can almost feel the stress slip away when you walk through the door of the comfortably decorated massage room. Nicole was my masseuse. She is amazing, the best 60 minutes ever, from my head to my toes. I left there feeling completely relaxed, wishing it didn't have to end. It was a wonderful experience, and I definitely will return. The ladies tell me they've been there since this past March, so support your local businesses. They have some great deals if you become a member, and they will be offering holiday specials. read more

Poor customer service and communication. Scheduling an appointment is almost impossible. I had one scheduled. Then I got a TEXT the morning of saying they needed to cancel because the person felt sick but they would call the next day to reschedule. No name was given. 2 days later, still no call. I texted the number back and they said the reason they didn't call was because they were still sick. They called a few hours later and I was in a meeting and couldn't answer. Called back as soon as I could and I left a message. Sent another text. Called again. Here we are, a week later and still no rescheduled appointment. It's like they don't want new customers. They also respond very negatively to any criticism or poor reviews which shows their lack of professionalism. Check out their responses to their groupon reviews, blaming the customer's athlete's feet, bad energy, or bad day on the customer instead of apologizing for poor service.
