The 2nd week, she asked me to change my appt since she'd accidentally double-booked. Although it made me late, I did. I thought it was odd & uncomfortable when she hinted for a tip, but I let it go. The next week she left a message (at the last minute) ditching my appt, saying I'd HAVE to choose a new time the next 3 weeks if I wanted to see her. What kind of therapist can't honor her appts? It gets worse. When I asked that she refund my unused massages, she lied - in writing. She says it was my misunderstanding: that when she took my $450 she didn't book specific appts, there was no guarantee. Oh yeah? Funny, I still have her phone message where she says sorry she messed up, she double-booked my time, she should have told me sooner, etc. Anyone with integrity would refund my balance. Instead, Sarah is making me hound her through the various consumer protection agencies to get my money back. Enough said.

By the time I called Serenity I would have been just as happy to pay a neighbor or a child to give me a massage; I was DESPERATE. So I took a chance even though this place looked sketchy from the moment I saw it. The woman tried to push me to get a longer massage than I wanted, obviously to make more money. I was not about to spend $80 on a massage here. I was really not keen on spending $60 for 30 minutes but like I said, I was desperate. She made me pay first, including tip, which I hate because how am I supposed to give an accurate tip without knowing how the service is even going to be? When she asked what I wanted to tip, I told her, and she said it wasn't enough. I was REALLY annoyed at this point so I said "add whatever the hell you want". She gave herself $5 more than I originally told her to add. I timed her massage and she ended 3 minutes early. I doubt she's licensed because I mostly felt pinching the entire time. The instrumental music she had on was annoying to say the least. She talked through the first 15 minutes of the massage even though I could barely understand her and I offered no response. I get massages often and usually at MUCH nicer places. I told myself not to be a snob and to give this place a chance but NEVER AGAIN. This woman honestly might be on drugs if she thinks her massages are worth what she charges. If she charged $30 MAX, I would have been a lot less offended by the whole thing. I'm not a cheap person; it was just that bad. Do not go here. There is not ONE redeeming quality.

It was a less than 10 mins drive from our apartment and the owner was nice to accommodate us since we have the baby with us and and couldn't book a couples massage. I told her our situation and she was very understanding about it. I chose the 30 mins massage for us so we can take turns and it won't take so much time for the both of us. It was a great massage in general. She really did her best to relax my muscles since it's been all tight and I haven't had a massage for a while now. I am so happy I chose this place. I'm taking 3 stars away because I don't feel like they pay attention to patient needs, focus on the patient during treatment, or note patient fears/concerns.
