I call to pay and arrange shipping. 5 calls later I'm told the part is a $150 dollars+ 30 shipping. I was nice to the Lady. I tried to explain it is against Federal Trade Law that she was using the tactic of Bait and Switch. Advertise an item for a low price and raise the price once your purchasing the item. She said this is America and i can do what I want. Well you sure can! And So can I! I do not recommend anyone doing business with this shady outfit. Below is the screen shots of the item listed. and the quote I got back. Slander is when your trying to smear someone with lies. the Proof is in the listing and Quote. Dishonest people. Rude when called out about it. I recommend all stay clear of this business. It obviously does not have any Moral compass. definition of Moral Compass = used in reference to a person's ability to judge what is right and wrong and act accordingly. Clearly no moral Compass..... Just Wrong! If you choose to use them it's at your own risk. Not recommended.

From the inside it was easy to see the deceitfulness, racism, and stinginess of all 3 of the owners. More from the women that run the front desk. They could care less about their customers, especially if they're black. They've dropped many racial stereotypes and the occasional N-bomb referring to their customers. You don't want to hear what they say about a white girl with a black guy. On top of that, the mother of the group decided that she would deduct a measly $5 out of my paycheck every day that I worked over 5 hrs. She claimed that "it was the law to take a break" but never offered one or insinuated that I work through it. After 7 months I found out and when I finally asked about it, she was snide and condescending. I found it petty that a company that makes hundreds of thousands a year needed to steal a meager $5 a day and claim that she had to. What cheapskates. Although LKQ's service isn't that great either, it's another salvage yard for people looking for parts in that area.

I ended up in the middle of an argument between them, & my mechanic each blaming the other one for whose fault it was, with Van Horn's saying the mechanic ruined the engine/didn't put it in right, & the mechanic saying that the engine couldn't have failed if it was refurbed correctly. A replacement was done, but this time Van Horn insisted they do it themselves & bypass my mechanic. THAT engine didn't run correctly, so a 3rd was pulled from another car, refurbished, & then installed into my car by their mechs. They couldn't blame my mechanic after the 2nd engine which meant that they very closely took their time on the 3rd engine since they had already used that excuse. After 3-4 weeks I finally had a working vehicle. If they had just listened to my mechanic in the 1st place all of that could have been avoided.

And what's more, he didn't want any any payment, despite my husband's attempts. We are so grateful to have stopped where we did, and received the assistance of such a kind gentleman.
