I purchased a Groupon, booked an appointment 9 days away online as required with the Groupon. During booking, I listed some of my memory allergies in my issue that I've literally never been able to use massage therapist, lotion, or oils in the past because of allergies. I listed a bunch of the allergies, noting that there are many more. I've been directly called the business to express concern ans get them to send me the ingredients list. The therapist told me they would send me the list, but they would not be able to use mineral oil to rub my back because mineral oil doesn't work for massages. I've literally had massages at 15 different massage therapists throughout my adult life, and not a single one of them has had an issue, accommodating my allergies. Chris, however, told me, "my lotions are all natural so you shouldn't have an issue." They seem to not understand people can be allergic to natural things. They had told me they would send me the ingredient list the next day, but then made excuses that they were in classes and not in the office again. They also were trying to claim to use an AI office assistant, which actually just seemed to be Chris texting. They had thought they sent me a deal to use outside of group on the day before, then if you realize they made a mistake texting the wrong person but didn't want to admit it. Chris then had some weird excuse that the deal wasn't sent because I had not booked an appointment yet. However, the only way they got my contact info was from the booking the appointment. Chris kept repeating that he sent the text message yesterday before he had my contact info. How is that humanly possible to text someone when you don't have their number? They then sent another text message offer that expired over a month ago. I don't know about the quality of their massage skills, but the difficulty in communicating with this person was astronomical. And the fact that they seemingly disregard allergies because their lotions are "all natural" is deeply worrying. If you have any kind of allergies or skin sensitivities, I would deeply consider looking elsewhere for a massage.
