Once in a while Yelp directs me to a business that actually is worth the 5 stars. The wife and I were moving into a new construction and wanted two reach in closets and a walk in for my three t-shirts and my wife's 3000 shoes. I at first decided to go with someone else that was well regarded and paid $60 for a consultation and design. The only problem was that I felt I was chasing someone to give them my money. There were delays in getting back to me and a day of complete silence. It was then that I searched Yelp and found Iggy at Closet King. If you value your time call this man. He gives you an estimate over the phone and then only after you are comfortable and ready to proceed he comes over and does the measurements. My only complaint is that now we are addicted to custom cabinetry and his work. We have put in an order now for all the blinds in our house to be replaced, father in law is getting a bookcase, laundry room cabinets on the way and some simple shelving installed in the den. The Closet King, Iggy, was someone I tracked down via Angie's List and the thing that struck me most was how professional he was from the get-go. He was incredibly accommodative to my tight schedule - he first came over at 7pm on a weekday to go over the project and share ideas, hear my thoughts, and provide feedback for over an hour for 7 closets. He offered to take his shoes off, was super friendly to my excitable kids, and just in general, incredibly pleasant and knowledgeable about his work. After approving the initial plans, he also fit us in on a Sunday to do the installation, and on top of professionalism, it turns out that the King and his crew are incredibly organized as well. They did staging in the garage and then came into the house to complete closet by closet with minimal intrusion to us or the guests we happened to have at the house. And Iggy was doing everything possible to remind his guys that he wanted everything back to how they found it... the area cleaned, vacuumed, and as if they'd never been there. Iggy is a best practice for other small business owners to follow. He was so pleasant and responsive through the entire process. I sent him a video of my closet and outreach for help! He came over to check out my very irregular closet and took measurements and created the virtual design. We made a few edits to finalize a few touches. He came for the first appointment and did such an amazing job from start to finish. A few key differentiators: Iggy and his team are super organized! Each team member is assigned a role and it keeps the day flowing from start to finish. When they come into the house they lay down something to cover the floors to keep from dirt and damage, when they are on the carpets they wear booties, after they are done they clean up everything to the last piece of dust. Most importantly is the quality of workmanship - the closets are absolutely beautiful and have completely made a difference in my life!
