On my first visit, I came in to buy candy and ending up browsing. And during that initial visit, I appreciated how many items this store has to offer and how well it's laid out. The patrons and workers take care of this store. I don't know how long it's been open, but it doesn't have the "tired" feel of most discount stores. And it's neat. Things aren't all piled up on each other in any random area; each section is separate and where you would expect to find something it's usually there. I didn't initially think of Deals as a "dollar store" but there are a lot of things that are $1. If I had kids, I come here every other month or so, give them $10 and let them go crazy. And if I were just starting out and not sure of what I needed, I would come here to buy dinnerware, glasses, etc. The prices are comparable to (and in some cases lower than) Wal-Mart and Target, so why deal with the parking and long check out lines of a bigger store? I don't know if I would have ever gone into this store if I wasn't dealing with a "candy jones" but I'm glad I did. The kid not even noticing walked out playing with the toy. Seconds later the kid came back in, walked up to Lonnie and apologized for walking out with it, without paying. Because the kid was honest with him, Lonnie told him to keep it, no charge. That made me a customer for life. I respect Lonnie so much, for just being a great person.

I visited in the midst of COVID-19 and employees were very sensitive to social distancing. This place is easy to find. It is located near the intersection of Sandy Plains and Canton Road.
