I'd give it 5 stars if it was based on my husbands barber!! It's freaking cold af in this place and he kept apologizing but he couldn't turn the heater on! I told my husband he's coming back by himself! It was like 60 degrees in there and I was shivering!! My husbands barber has been his barber for years!! He's great at what he does and I'm hoping next time it's not so cold! Yall have Clinets that we're talking about not coming back because it was so uncomfortable... Everyone in there was cold and I was in there a few months ago when it was hot this summer and u told them to open the door when it was 107 outside... as a business owner myself I understand how expensive it can be to make people comfortable... but this is beyond ridiculous... what to save a buck?? I made an appointment for my son for 12:45 (online says time slot is 12:45-1:30) We get in and are told by the barber he's running g a bit behind. Honestly not a big deal at all. My son gets to the chair 12:55ish. He asks for a low taper fade. My son has straight hair so I do know enough to know for this haircut to work for him he needs lots of texture on the top. I'm not licensed and even I know this. Anyways he asks my son what he wants, he tells them and they do their thing. 1:30 rolls around and they're done. My son hopped out of that chair looking like the guy from dumb and dumber no joke. There was ZERO texture. So flat I asked if he could go shorter and he said he couldn't cause he had another appointment coming in.... But we waited 10 extra min remember. Waste of money. Now have to go spend more to find someone who can fix this mess. I do not recommend this place. Reply to owner: I appreciate your response and your willingness to fix the issue however I'm going to politely decline. I'm sure there are exceptional barbers who work there however I no longer feel comfortable taking my son there. I went in Saturday as a walk in and I cannot recommend this barber shop. Waste of time and money. When I got there one of the barbers told me I would be next in line. So I figured I'd wait. Shortly after another barber finished and said they were going to wait for their next appointment (an hour away). Understandable I am a walk in and there are appointments. So I continued to wait patently. Once I got to the seat (wait time of an hour and a half), I showed the barber a picture of myself with shorter tapered haircut. They started to comply with my haircut request in a weird way. He was stabbing at my hair with his clippers. Didn't even bother to comb/part/fix my hair. He was more interested in chatting with the barber that was assumingly on break at the same time. And oddly sometimes he wouldn't even cut my hair but would pretend as if he was. I'd like to add that I don't normally listen to conversations that I'm not involved in. But the conversation about sleeping with coworkers and remarks about how their female barber (who recently left) was trying to get in other patrons pants, left a bad taste in my mouth. Sure, there were only guys in the shop at the time, but I wanted a haircut and not to participate in locker room talk. The lack of professionalism was detrimental to my experience. That was coupled with the lack of concern and/or interest from my barber in my cut. He was seemingly happy with his 5-10 minutes of work on my hair, so he took off my apron and handed me a mirror asking if it looked good. Honestly, at that point, I thought about communicating the issue but I was more than done being there. Almost 2 hours had passed since I entered the building. And all I had to show was a poor experience and poor haircut. I won't be going again anytime soon. Appointment or walk in. I'll rock my 1/10 "taper" till it grows out. read more

In the area and decided to get a haircut on a walk in basis. Called and someone picked within a few rings. Person was super friendly, answered my questions and number of people waiting. She told me there was availability and come on in. Stopped by and there was two ahead of me.. I believe they were both appts. within 10 minutes a lady was finished with a client and after cleanup asked who was there for appts or walk ins. I raised my hand and bam I was picked up for a haircut. Naomi (spl?) was super easy to work with. She listened to my wishes and throughout my mop of a hair so turned into my wishes. She checked in periodically to see if i was content. She was easy to talk to and pretty much got down with I requested. I'd definitely go back and book with her again. Price was fair and I of course provided tip... The place was very well lit, clean and professional. I like how the played music with a chill relaxed vibe that made the haircut go by as a breeze. The one thing that is more difficult to find than your partner is your barber. So, if you are looking for a little bit of perfection in your life, go see Naomie. She pays attention to the details, very professional, no corner cuttings, gives you the enough time, never in hurry, never ever, she responds timely to the  appointment requests. Her desk is clean and she gives bespoke service. One most important thing to me is that she is consistent. Her quality of service doesn't fluctuate. I have been a regular customer for past over an year and I must mention this. This establishment is not a 'one size fits all' kind of thing. I do not complain unless I know there is wrong doing .....Daryl - (the stylist) will not stand by her work- she does not respond to her inquires about fixing the mess up she has made within a timely fashion to fix her cut (this has happened multiple times, but given the benefit of doubt). I would not recommend this business nor the stylist. As far as the owner and manager backing up any stylist to recharge to have a mistake fixed is not worth the time to seek services from. Sad that she constantly would change the pricing every time also, no visible posted rates listed, I would always graciously tip well....because I know the service industry is hard, but for you to treat your clients this way is a TOTAL DISSAPPOINTMENT, not ethical to charge anyone to fix a cut that you did not do properly in the first place. Went in for a haircut today and when paying I handed the hair stylist $80 in cash (my total was $56, handed her $80 to give her a tip) and she gave me back $4. I asked her for the rest of my change (so I can determine how much I wanted to tip her) and she responded with "you only gave me $60". I reiterated that I handed her $80, I had just gone to the bank to pull cash out, so I know how much I handed her. Clearly, she cannot count or this place is just out to steal from people. I moved to Tracy about a year ago. I was the type to buzz cut my hair in the garage. I decided to make a change and style my hair. I went out to look for a new barber shop that I could trust. Grabbed my phone, came across Clipper King, and talked with Tammie. She promptly got me in the same day. On my arrival, all the stylists greeted me with a great welcome. Meeting Tammie was so great, and her energy was unmatchable. Coming here since April 2021 was the best decision for my boys and myself. Everyone is so friendly, making everyone feel welcome. Dana is so amazing with my son, very accommodating she's my go to! It's best to make an appointment before coming because all the girls here are good, friendly, super busy and they are awesome when it comes to sticking to scheduled appointments, but of course walk-ins are welcome if you're willing to wait, which in the end is totally worth it. read more

I cannot speak highly enough about this establishment! Dana, the owner, does the BEST FADES within a 20 mile radius! Not only this, but my wife prefers a specific look, and she never strays from it. Their haircuts are immaculate and when you say you go to Clipper King, people realize because the brand has some serious equity within town. I had waited at least a year for a booking to become available, and it was worth the wait. Now, I go every two weeks with my 3 boys and they come out looking immaculate each visit. Some hair places (Supercuts and Great Clips) lack consistency. You get a different person each time there, and you hope to walk out with a satisfactory look. Great If you have an appointment bad if you're a walk in. If you're a walk-in be prepared to wait 2-3 hours it's happened to me 3 times already. With my schedule it's hard to book an appointment so I try to walk in I get told 30 minutes but ends up being 2-3 hours. Got a haircut from Daryl and specifically showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted and how much to take off the top as well. Told her a couple times I don't like when my hair is too long in the top and want it to go down eye length at the farthest and it seemed she did it so I was focused more on the sides sticking out. Told her a couple times that when I comb my hair back it's been sticking out on the sides when she cut it before and was more focused on that. The haircut was creeping in on taking an hour and 15 min and I had places to go. Same day I noticed the back is furry and not cut like it should be. Then I pull down my hair and notice it's going all the way down to my mouth when I specially said eye length. I don't know if she's purposed making it longer in purpose so we keep going back to her more often ?? I text her and tell her the back isn't even cut or blended for that matter and thought I'd ask her about the top going all the way down to my mouth since she's so hard tiget a hold of. It takes her about 4 days to get back to me when I had to text her TWO times just to get a response. People have lives I do not want to keep going back there. I didn't think to much of it she finally responded told me to come in Thurs. I get there and told her about the back and then I said the top isn't what I wanted it to be it goes down to my mouth when I specially said eye length. She says and I quote "I'm going to have to charge you for that since it'll take 25-30 min." I only asked for a half inch off the top even and I got back to you he same day how is ur my fault you can't text someone back ?? I paid over $40 for a haircut and the same day I notice it's nothing like I wanted and she's trying to charge me again for her mistake, which is laughable. I don't know if she's cutting my hair longer on purpose to make more money or making mistakes on purpose to charge more for her OWN mess ups. Which every it is DO NOT go to Daryl. Paying another full price for a mistake you made on the top is laughable for something that'll take you 5-10 minutes!! Also since I can't respond to the comment you just left if it takes 24 hours until she can refix it why can't she get back to me the same day ?? It takes her about a week to get back to me how's that my fault. No haircut should take near an hour and a half to do sometimes I come in on my lunch or have work later.
