Throughout my visit with fever and chest pain and abdominal pain and extremely dehydrated, I got blood drawn and a chest X-ray with a CT on my abdominal area. I waited. And waited... and still waited. When I was finally called back I was placed in a room with a man as my roommate with a curtain that didn't block us completely so we got to see and hear everything about each other. Total strangers. ...I was there 9 hours, given a short for pain, a pill for upset stomach and discharged. No IV for hydration, no antibiotics even though I was told by Justin the nurse with no badge for identification told me it was inflamed or infected. No medication for it and he told my final temp after eating ice, it read 98.3°, can only imagine what it was once the ice chips were gone. I'll tell you 101.4. I threw up, projectile vomiting, and explosive diarrhea that has a smell and is foamy and slimy as soon as I got home after 1 AM . So here it is Tuesday, waiting on Dr offices to call me back. Maybe they will take better care of me than the staff of RMC in Anniston who constantly had food delivered, door dashes for different lunch times and 20-30 minutes were nobody is at the front desk or coming in or out of the sliding glass doors that lead into the medical ER. Glad nobody had a severe crisis in the waiting room that would have required medical care. Shame RMC. From Retired Nurse from Cali visiting your town.

There was more than one of us who came with the minor due to our programs policy. The man wouldn't allow us to explain this. The volunteer would keep being nasty. When another person was finally there who worked for the hospital we tried to speak to them to explain the situation. The volunteer would cut me off butting in being rude, make nasty snide remarks, insult us, tell us how he would show us what rude really is, and talk ill of the military. When the lady was asked to have the man stop or have the man go else where while we spoke so he would stop his rudeness, she had a nasty tone when stating no because he is an employee and how they don't cater to military. Yet they seem to allow a "volunteer" to verbally start a battle and come at someone with complex PTSD who not once came at them.

I went to see Dr. Tippets for carpal tunnel secondary to pregnancy…read more I awited in the main lobby for a little more than 30 minutes before being asked to a cubicle with a tech to gather more medical information. She recommended an x-ray, which I refused and deemed as unnecessary. I am pregnant and I know the cause of carpal tunnel. The tech then told me to go find my room in Module B Room 1. As I had never been here before, I didn't know where that was. I passed a desk and ask a girl there for direction. She point to the room. Later, she came to the room and asked for my paperwork because I didn't turn it in to her on the way. Again, I am new to the office and their procedures so how was I to know? I waited in the exam room. Dr. Tippets came in to see me after an hour and 10 minutes from my original appointment. He was nice and professional. He listened to my complaint. He agreed with the carpal tunnel diagnosis and agreed to give me wrist steroid injections. I had seen another orthopedic who refused any treatment because of my pregnancy. I have not found a "hand" specialist in the area. I am grateful that Dr. Tippets agreed to treat me. I give this office a three star rating because I am satisfied with Dr. Tippets and the treatment. I am dissappointed with the office staff. I feel an hour wait is too excessive especially when they are the ones in charge of making appointments with patients. This is not a walk in clinic. You have to have an appointment. Secondly, there was no escort of where to go or who to see.. simply "Go find your room in Module B Room 1"

I had a very poor experience with them yesterday at 52 Medical Drive East. I made an appointment…read morebut had to wait 10 or 11 days to get in. I was told that I would be seeing Dr Hodges but that turned out to not be true. I paid my $70 co-pay and waited to see the doctor. After a couple of xrays on my shoulder they put me in a room to wait on the doctor. However, the person that came in to say she would be treating me was Rachel and announced herself as a physicians associate (read nurse or intern). I was not going to get to see a doctor so my co-pay was collected under false pretenses. Rachel was not a doctor and so could not prescribe any pain medication, nor could she order an MRI which I felt was really needed. Instead she gave me a steroid injection in the shoulder and was given an order for physical rehab. Because she could not prescribe any medicines to help with the pain, she lied to me and said that pain medication was only given after surgery. I know this is not true because I have several surgeries through the years for orthopedic issues. I was always given pain meds prior to the surgery. In effect they scammed me out of $70 by telling me I would be seeing a doctor when in fact I saw a physicians associate who was not a doctor. Now I have to contact my lawyer to see how best to recoup my $70. I will also ask that he send them a letter to cease and desist collecting monies for services they are not going to perform. They will be reported to the Better Business Bureau of Alabama and I will advise Blue Cross / Blue Shield to not process their claim for any insurance payout whatsoever. This was a total scam from the start, now I have to seek out another doctor or a pain management group. So far the steroid injection has done nothing to alleviate the pain. My advice is that if you are a new patient then you need to make sure you get to see a doctor. I cannot recommend them to anyone.

If you look on their site this Dr deals with those issues but he told me he did not. Then what made it worse for me is that I am a person that self harms. I haven't done it in a while but I have scars on my arms. The Dr saw these scars and had me repeat what I had done a few times and looked at me like I was nuts. On the paper work I filled out I filled in depression and anxiety along with my meds so if he'd even looked hed noticed these things. This just made me even more uncomfortable. But the biggest kicker of all was after he left the room I could hear him in the hallway talking about my scars to others and repeated himself SEVERAL times. I just wanted to leave. It was SOO unprofessional and unnecessary. I was there for wrist and hand pain not old scars that aren't near where my wrists are. It really really upset me. You know if I heard him who knows how many others did as well. It was just really uncalled for. Thankfully my primary Dr isnt going to make me go back to him. I'm just at a loss for his behavior. He's an older gentleman so its not like he's not his fair share of things.
