She and her staff put the kids at ease and explain what they are doing so the kids know what is happening during their visit. Her staff lets parents know when x-rays or sealants are needed and I have seen parents decline x-rays for various reasons without issue or being pressured for services they do not want performed. My kids have had everything from fillings done on a 4 year old to sealants and extractions. Dr. McGuire suggested Orthodontic treatment at the right time along with recommending wisdom teeth removal for 17 year old when that was needed. Her front office staff has gotten on the phone with me and my insurance company to address payment issues and she has been forthright about costs (explaining that insurance may not cover sealants on 12 year molars that didn't come in for one of my kids until he was 16) so I would know what my potential out of pocket costs could be. She is professional and genuinely cares about each and every one of her patients. My kids now go to Dr. McGuire on their own and they are relaxed and comfortable in her office.

They each had their own hygienist and sat in chairs next to each other. My 3 year old was okay doing it by herself, but I helped hold my 2 year old. There were no xrays/no separation as described in other reviews. My daughters' teeth looked great and I wasn't sold any unnecessary procedures. I think the experience may vary based on dental hygiene practiced at home. I limit sugar, my kids rarely have juice, and We brush at least 2x a day, floss, since they were less than a year old. That's not to say they also didn't get their dad's good teeth genetics because mine are awful. I guess the takeaway is, if you have specific concerns, you should address they before the visit. She explained ever part of the process to him so that he understood exactly what was going on and how everything would feel as she performed the work. He was in the chair for almost an hour but was completely at ease and relaxed thanks to her kind and compassionate nature. My son is usually not good with anything that even sounds painful but we had no issues during any of his visits. In fact, even after having a tooth pulled, he still isn't afraid to go back and I think that speaks wonders to Dr.Mann's abilities as a pediatric dentist. My son was very excited to see that they have tv's with tons of kids channels, funny sunglasses, and many cool scents of laughing gas to help make the visit as painless as possible. He didn't even notice when she took his tooth out. Now, only 5 hours later he is totally pain free and as happy as can be. The front desk staff is great and the hygienists are excellent with the kids. They do a great job cleaning the teeth and they are gentle. The kids have no complaints. There are few private rooms for dentist exams and cleaning. These rooms have flat screen tvs hooked up ready for viewing sitting forward and leaning back. All the patient charting is electronic, including digital xrays. There is also a large room with multiple dentists chairs, which isn't so private. If there's a negative, that would be it. There are no tvs there. After their exams or checkup, the kids are allowed to go into a prize bin, and pick out a little knick knack and they go home with free dental related goodies.
