I went with the Caprese pizza -- pesto sauce, mozzarella, double tomato, and a balsamic drizzle -- and it did not disappoint. The roasted cherry tomatoes were juicy and the balsamic glaze added a nice tang. They've got a big menu with build-your-own options, signature pies, salads, and starters, plus a full espresso and tea lineup and some creative dirty soda specials. A couple of heads up for anyone planning to visit: there are no public restrooms, and seating is outdoor only, so plan accordingly. I tried the nitro cold brew and it seemed a bit on the weaker side -- not bad, just not as bold as I'd hoped. The pastry case looked great though, with scones, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and more baked fresh daily. Overall a charming spot with good food and a cool roasting setup. Worth a stop if you're in the area.

It's a huge hangar type space filled with locals bustling in for their morning coffee. My typical way to know if I'll like a coffee shop is if their cappuccino is only offered in one (or two) sizes. Black Coffee had that-BINGO. Delicious and perfectly made. My only regret is not buying beans to brew at home.

4 stars Tucked into…read morea gorgeous old Quonset hut, Black Coffee Roasting Co. (525) is worth a stop for the building alone--that curved corrugated-metal shell, the tangle of Edison bulbs strung across the high ceiling, and a sunny little patio out back make it one of the more distinctive coffee spots around. The service was friendly and quick. I ordered at the counter and had my drink in hand in no time, with genuinely nice folks behind the bar. The menu has some fun, unexpected touches too--the mint cold brew is a standout you won't find everywhere, and it's refreshing without being gimmicky. The pastry case is where they really shine. House-made bialys, savory danishes with coconut greens and pork belly, sweet danishes with black tea and roasted rhubarb, plus a rotating lineup of cookies and tea cakes. Everything looks like it's made with real care, and the bakery side (Grist) clearly takes the craft seriously. One heads-up: there's no WiFi. If you're hoping to post up and grind through a few hours of work, this isn't the spot for it--plan on a shorter visit or bring a hotspot. For a quick, high-quality coffee-and-pastry run, though, it's a winner. Come for the architecture and the mint cold brew, stay for the bialys--just don't expect to get much emailing done.

They are much more than just a gas station. They have all the necessities and are basically just a smaller version of a grocery store. They even carry hot deli items such as chicken strips, jojos, corn dogs, burritos, and even fried gizzards. The breading they use is delicious! The staff is friendly and their prices are pretty reasonable for being a small little store. I used the restroom while stopping there yesterday and it was clean, so no complaints there. They have a big parking lot with plenty of grassy areas to let your dog out to do its thing if you are traveling. The store could use a little updating but other than that, it's a great place to stop, gas up, stretch your legs, and stock up on snacks and drinks for the road.

HOWEVER, you guys have got to get your shit figured out. The cashier gave us a number placard, and told us to stay at the front to get our drinks before sitting. So we did. Employees were abuzz, swarming like ping pong balls, and making food/drinks. We stood and waited, then after like 15 minutes a gal came out and handed me my plate of food!? We hadn't even gotten our drinks yet. *Why was I being handed food first, standing, versus receiving my drink and then served food while seated at our table?* I wandered to find a table, and found myself weaving through a bunch of people. It was awkward since all the tables/chairs are spaced SO close together. My husband stayed at the front for our lattes, as I started to eat alone. :( We loved the food, but we felt unhappy about the fracas and chaos. This is NOT the way to run a restaurant. We sat and enjoyed our lattes, and the eclectic ambiance. Finally another 12 to 15 minutes later, my husband's biscuits and gravy arrived. I am a slow eater, and I was already done eating, when he began to eat. :( Sad to say, our experience was extremely disappointing. Totally disjointed, and it left us feeling frustrated and irritated. This shouldn't need to be said, but you guys need to serve people in the order they come in. Get those tickets done asap, and it'll clear up your insane bottleneck you create by serving the "easiest" drinks and meals first. Yummy food, but NOT a good dining experience. Also, there are some funny reviews whining about feeling uncomfortable that this place is anti-ICE. Pro-lgbtq. "Oh the horror" to be inclusive, and tolerant of other people! I just know what you would've been balking about in the 1950's... Clyde Coffee is said to be a "liberal" coffee shop, but if you think about it, this is simply human decency... The difference was: the coffee shop had all the good plant milks. I also bought a "drumstick", which was like a homemade energy bar. It was definitely calorie-dense and tasty. My daughter and I both liked the vibe... you can see all the bags of imported coffee beans and the light fixtures are cool. The two baristas were definitely busy but they were also positive and helpful. Coffee was ready fairly promptly and tasted better than the no-milk version offered at the hotel. It was a little strong for my liking but (as I stated before) a little plant milk made it bearable.
