They exceeded my expectations in every way! My daughter and I have a very dear cousin in Belfast. We wanted to send her a bouquet of flowers, from each of us, for her birthday. I couldn't find my usual go-to florist and picked Norah Mitchell's due to their photographs, and price. I live in California and my daughter and her family live on the east coast. Vicki was wonderful to deal with on email and Carolyn was very kind and helpful on the phone. Flower arrangements were lovely and very affordable. Even my daughter remarked how beautiful and affordable her arrangement was. We highly recommend them and will be using them again during the upcoming Christmas holiday! They were extremely knowledgeable, knew how to deliver my vision and suggested great cost saving alternatives, when I went over the budget. On my wedding day they delivered everything on time and as promised. It was soo hassle free and one less thing to worry about. Located just a stone's throw from the plush Lunns jewellers I assume they're hoping to capitalise on any brides/grooms or wedding planners that may be passing. Inside the rather stark white interior there are several rather impressive flower displays and a couple of well stocked gift cabinets. Being in on a Saturday afternoon the shop was already quite busy and the staff were kept on their toes with plenty of requests for help and advice. Pros: Elegant shop, attentive staff. The girl working in here immediately seen to us and asked what we were after. We pointed to the beautiful bouquet's placed in bags/boxes and asked about prices. They started at £20 and went up as far as £40. We decided to go for £30 and she asked if we wanted her to make it up there and then-which we did! I must say, watching her work was really mesmerising and she mad it look so easy! The flowers were like a representation of Autumn! They were orange, red, deep purple and rust coloured. Truly gorgeous. I have to say this is definitely my new favourite place to go for flowers! Really job well done!

They delivered three days in advance, I was absent from home, so my flowers stayed rotting for three days without care. By the time I arrived, and expected to receive fresh flowers, the water in the vase was all dirty, and as a result, no fresh morning flowers as an expected gift. Very upsetting. I asked for a refund of the extra fee they charged, but they disagreed, as it "would be too complicated".

It is a shame because they have a whole selection of flowers from cheaper bouquets to huge corporate displays, and they specially make flowers for you if you want. Firstly we had a private meeting with the main florist Karen, who talked us through options and showed us different styles of flowers, bouquets, arrangements and colour palates. She took lots of time and helped us make the right choices according to our budget and needs. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff in general were all very obliging and helpful any time we called in to make a payment or emailed to ask a question. They liaised with the Church independently and took all the work and responsibility out of our hands. The peony arrangements in the church were commented on by everyone and I absolutely loved my bouquet - I didn't put it down all day. Stylish, modern and sophisticated in a nutshell. Not cheap though!

For a florist in the middle of town this place is hard to beat…read more Walk in from the main street passed lots of pots and even huge urns at over 200 quid. The plants and flowers are stored under a massive glass roof which gives it a hothouse effect - it was scorching the last day I was in. There is a large selection of real flowers as well as fake plants. The garden ornaments, wind chimes and decorations are beautiful but quite expensive. Anything you need for your garden, I could almost swear you would find it here. Out the front there is a gift store filled with toys and jewels and candles. At Christmas it is like a little Santa's grotto filled with internal and external ornaments for the home. I love it at Christmas time.

She very highly recommended Floral Designs in Bangor. As I don't live in Bangor I was quite surprised that she recommended somewhere away from where I live - their reputation is that good she told me. I rang up and made a telephone order for a bouquet with the total value of 25 pounds including delivery. I didn't get to see the order but the woman on the phone asked my lots of questions about the flowers I like and the colours I would prefer. I was very impressed and was willing to give them business purely on her telephone manner. My friends flowers arrived the next day and she was delighted, she mentioned that the bunch was massive and the smells were exquisite. I've since been in the shop itself and it is just as nice inside as I thought it would be. I received an efficient and friendly service and was conveniently able to pay over the phone. My friend was pleased and so was I - a good recommendation altogether.

It's the type of place you would go in to with your girlfriend, wife, sister or even mother and they'd point out all the flowers and trinkets and say, 'Awk isn't that cute?' to which you'd nod back agreeing. So what brought such a manly man like myself to The Flower Room I hear you ask? Well, I was looking for boxes, not manly wooden boxes but the wee cardboard types you can put gifts in. I thought The Flower Room would be a good bet to get them because they have a whole array of gifts arranged beautifully out the front of the shop. As soon as I walked in to the shop, which is a converted terrace house, I heard a big 'Hello' coming from upstairs and a 'Can I help you?' Kathryn the owner then rushed down to see if she could help in my quest for a box. She literally hunted in her storeroom to see if she could help me and when she couldn't she listed loads of other shops that I might be able to get the desired box. This was absolutely remarkable service. I actually ended up chatting to her for a while - she was telling me that The Flower Room specialise in Weddings but are busy for the impending Valentines Day as well as other 'flowery' holidays. The shop is beautifully arranged and I would suggest going in just to experience the warmth atmosphere on offer. They have a full range of gifts and a few garden products - The Flower Room is a shining example of a great independent business, forget buying bouquets online.

When this happened I always think getting her a bunch of flowers is a good way to get back onside. I have got my lady flowers out of here and I thought the service and price were excellent. This wee shop is in a lovely area of Bangor with plenty of other shops, bistros and cafés about so you can pop in here and then go get a bite to eat while you are waiting for them to finish your bouqet or bunch of flowers to be finished and prepared. You can get flowers here for weddings and funerals as well as to make up for being a bad boyfriend. Great prices, good service and a local business that should be well supported if you have the chance. Excellent stuff.

It sells beautiful flower arrangements and puts together bouquets for any occasion. Donna from the Flower Box made the flower arrangements for my sisters wedding 5 and she made such an impression that on every wedding anniversary my sisters husband, the old romantic, goes back to The Flower box and buys her a bouquet. The Flower Box operates and quick delivery service and this may be why they provide local businesses with their flowers. The shop itself is tiny and if you have hay fever I would bring your tissues because the pollen count is through the roof!
