The crew encompasses respect, inventiveness, talent, a strong work ethic and discipline, and a sense of honesty which is hard to come by. We never saw such a hard working team from morning till day's end and without complaint but always with a friendly banter and smile. Brad is an extremely resourceful professional in his knowledge and who's who in the business. Brad and Ricky knew how to take a concept and transpose that concept into a reality that was even more beautiful, modern, and polished then the original plan. It is quite evident that these guys love what they do which only adds to our confidence for the next two phases of work in our near future. We highly recommend and give an easy 5 Stars!

The crew worked very hard and were very pleasant and cooperative. I made a lot of inquiries and they were very responsive. They knew what they were doing and they did it well. I'll give credit where credit is due, my 1/2 acre plot with a fenced in yard had a LOT of leaves…read more I had just bought the home, so no one had mowed in a while. These guys did a GREAT job cleaning up the leaves. So here's why this is a 1 star review. I get a quote over the phone to mow the lawn and clean the leaves- 140/hr. I get told they will not bill my card without calling me. I had to call them every week for 3 weeks to get them to my property. They missed deadlines they set for themselves every time, until the third time I called and they asked if it needed to be done before Thanksgiving. I told them yes and they show up at 3pm the day before Thanksgiving to do some work. Sundown was at 4:30 that day, so they missed the Thanksgiving deadline (not that it mattered to me) and had to come back a second day to finish. Also, no one cut the front lawn either day they were at the home. 3 weeks later I have a $700 charge. No call to tell me the cleanup is going to run long, no call to tell me they are charging me. I honestly thought this was a mistaken charge. The only time I got a call was when I left a voice mail telling them I was going to put a stop payment on the charge. The owner called me that day and laid it all out- it was a big project, what his costs are, he wasn't stealing... No answer when I asked him why he didn't call me to tell me it was going to be a 5 hour job. He said they cut the front lawn, which makes me think he was never at the house because there is no way that was done and it's still a mess. He said he would "see what he could do to make it better so I don't bad mouth him," but that's not what this is. Like I said, these guys did a GREAT job with the leaves. But for $700 I probably could have hired the local football team to pick up the leaves by hand, one by one. I'm gonna write this one off as a loss and look for a different landscaper.

But now I understand. Jay's Lawn Care provided the landscaping for the home I bought from a real estate developer in 2020. That real estate developer told me "call Jay's if there is any problem with any of the shrubs". 2 arborvitae were dead when I moved it. So I called Jay's. It took 2 years for them to replace the shrubs. Letting go of my disappointment with the amount of time it took for Jays to replace the 2 dead shrubs, I used them for a new project last September. 2 of the 16 arborvitae they planted died immediately. I called & texted last fall but no one got back to me. As the weather started to warm up this spring, I started reaching out to Jay's again. I let them know, I have been through this before with them and please don't make me wait. At this point (May 8th, 2024) I have texted Jay just about every other weekday for the past 2 months. He responded once on 4/16/24 and said he would call me when he gets to the office. I have no choice at this point but to write off the loss and pay another service to come replace them. I am posting this experience so no one else goes through what I have gone through with this company. I highly recommend staying away from Jay's Lawn Care. They are neither responsible nor reliable. They honestly do not care about their customers. Here's a photo of the 2 dead shrubs that I have sent to Jay's many times with no response.

It was the first quote I received and I was waiting to receive a couple more quotes. Within a day someone followed up with a call telling me they could start the next day. I explained I was waiting for another quote and asked if they could send a proper proposal in an email. At that point they seemed put off and said if I didn't make a decision in the next couple days they wouldn't be able start for a couple months. After a couple weeks (we weren't desperate) we decided to sign their proposal and had a tentative start date in about 2 months. Two months passed and I was told it would be another month before they could start. After another month we sent an email and they responded it would be another month. After around 7 months they stopped responding to us all together. So we contacted our second choice which was another large outfit. They came out immediately and provided the quote the same day. Completed the work within a week of the proposal. It was a 2 day job. I gave Red Bank Roofing 1 star because I feel generous. But frankly I wouldn't trust them.
