I cannot say enough wonderful things about CLINIC. I have been a client since it's inception and was seeing Jen for weekly acupuncture for a year prior to that. Jen has been amazing in helping me feel more grounded and as much as I love the actual acupuncture, the time that she spends talking is just as important to me. Her warmth and compassion are outstanding. I have also had wonderful massages with both Marly and Alicia, experienced a variety of practitioners in a "CLINIC sampling party" with coworkers and generally feel as though I'm coming home whenever I climb the stairs, no matter what is going on in my life at the moment. In addition, Chinese herbs have been incredibly helpful to me and I can always trust the quality of any product I purchase from the "store". Finally, the space is so calming, peaceful, warm and beautiful. I have been in every space for one reason or another and they are all special in some way, including the waiting area, where one can always peruse the products, relax with a cup of tea or water and chat with anyone who is manning the desk or just sit peacefully in preparation. From the time you step into the door, you start to relax. After walking up the candlelit stairs, you step into a relaxing foyer and lounge where tea or water are available. The Chinese medicines are irresistibly displayed and encourage you to walk over and peruse. Facilities are easily accessible, and the rooms are beautifully appointed. Jen Nery is one of the most thorough practitioners I have had the pleasure to work with. I had never had an acupressure treatment. Not only did Jen go through my history that I had completed online, she had some very detailed questions to ask even before the treatment began. She then had me get on the very comfortable table. As a larger person, I felt very comfortable on the table. It was sturdy, wide and very comfortable. The treatment was fully explained as she moved quickly and efficiently from legs to arms for my treatment. She then asked if I wanted silence or music to create the perfect environment for my treatment. I felt wonderful during and after. I was very relaxed and the treatment lasted for a very long time after the treatment. I definitely highly recommend Jen Nery and her clinic. Reducto-ssage ---- Highly recommend it ! When I first started the series I was in the middle of a weight loss program and the massages helped me to achieve my goals more quickly. I've lost a total of 8inches on my waist and the treatment is not only about losing those inches but keeping the skin tight in that area. I have a problem with water retention which can be quiet hard to get around and make me look heavier than I really am, well while getting these massages done I was so much leaner and feeling lighter too. For a very long time I have been dealing with pain in my left foot, circulation issues on my left side and an overall exhausted tense feeling. I had never been exposed to a service such as Jen's. As soon as I stepped off the busy street into the stairwell that leads to CLINIC, I started to relax. The candle lined stairway initiated the switch from the stress of the day to some relaxing "me" time. Jen listens to your needs and then provides a comprehensive treatment. I received acupuncture for one of my most prevalent conditions - stress. After placing the needles, she partially covered me with a blanket, placed a heat lamp near my feet and allowed me to rest. I have been dealing with a chronic back/hip issue for about 6 months, so much so that it has affected my gait and sanity. I started to see Alicia Hunter LMT for CranoSacral Therapy sessions and I've felt an amazing improvement. The constant pain is at bay and I feel my gait has returned to normal. You must check it out. I go specifically for acupuncture with Jennifer Nery and she rocks. She has great energy, warmth and skill. She has helped to regulate my system and bring me into better health in a way that nothing else has - a regular doctor or a masseuse. Acupuncture is amazing and so is Jen. Clinic Alternative is great! The ambiance of the place is lovely; it has a great "vibe." Even though I'm not particularly into Eastern medicine and the like, I felt like I was in great hands. I love this place. Just walking in and smelling the fresh, healing fragrances, seeing the wooden floors and plants - I'm relaxed before I even step foot in a practitioner's room!
